Everyone but me went to bed.

    Forever alone- face.

I am still awake! I gotta get my posts up before bed!

    My post count is pathetic

I have been here for over 2 years now, and just got to silver a few months ago. Though I did take a huge bump break for a while. DH dared me to get to gold by his birthday. So I gotta do 100 posts per day. Which I am slightly ahead on.

Now I know why Merry Gentry sounded familiar. I've read a few of those. To be honest I can't handle some of the sex in books. It screws with my PTSD- so I have to avoid some of it. I have to keep it a bit tame.

I like Patrica Briggs. Have you checked her out? My SS's BM loves Laurell K Hamilton and Kim Harrison and has enjoyed Briggs as well.

I dunno. I kinda find the sex in the Merry Gentry series kinda tame. Though I understand where you are coming from. I have ghosts in my past as well. I am just a weird kinky freak. So it doesn't phase me, neither did 50 shades. So eh.

I am always looking for new material. Currently I'm on like book 15 or 16 of the Eve Dallas series by J.D.Robb, which has 36 books in it. So I've gotten to the point where I need a little break from the sexy murder mysteries (also a great series).

Merry Gentry wasn't as bad as some- I've just noticed I have to set pretty strict boundaries about it. It used to just make me blush- now I get a little sick. I still gotta work through some issues.

Does Nora Roberts just formula write- my GAWD she has a lot of books out. Karen Robards was someone I thought a bit similar to Roberts- perhaps not as good. They seemed like romance murder/kidnap novels. Still a couple weren't bad- and they have the sex! lol Though if you're wanting a break from that vein then she wouldn't be a good choice.

I like Tess Gerstin (spelling) she wrote "the surgeon" but that's because I like serial killers and murder stories. I read too much true crime stuff for a while.

I'm not mega into the whole crime stuff. However, I got sucked into the Nora Roberts series. It's really cool. It's set in the future and the main guy sounds amazing. I do read it more for the characters than I do the actual mystery. I just need to look around and find something that interests me. I just am in a weird place. I think I'm stuck in the 'I only want to read "easy" books' stage. So I am re reading a whole bunch.

I know I just started reading Memoirs of a Geisha again. I just need to look around. I'm just too tired right now to really think. I'm hitting that weird wall where I'm energized for like 20 minutes a day and then I nap.

I think you'd like Robards then. I've had so little energy- I'm 40 weeks 6 days preggo and I'm effing tired. I get small little bouts of energy- went to the store today- totes took it out of me. I have fibromyalgia too so that adds to the suck.

I have always had sleep issues. This baby just makes me nap a crap load though. I cannot function if I haven't had a nap that day. It stinks. I have been so lazy lately, and when I actually want to do something the energy comes in spurts. It's taken me weeks to get things done around here. Luckily there isn't much in my house to get dirty lol.

I have this anal retentive problem of having a stick up my azz about my apt. I'm a clean freak- and things will bug the tar out of me when their dirty and I beat myself up when I don't have the energy and or are too lazy to clean. Dh is pretty awesome though- he does a lot around the house (it took a while but now he knows how to clean). Moving was he11- I was 38 weeks along and hormonal and wasn't able to be in control of how things were getting moved. Needless to say I had to chill out. I realize I'm too uptight about it- and Dh encourages me to be less so- so that helps.

So comments on what I've missed:

Goonies: I know a girl who is Chunk's cousin.

Cheesecake: ok, but inferior to pie. My sister, on the other hand, had cheesecake at her wedding instead of cake 'cause she loves it so much.

If I had my choice dessert at my wedding it would end up being tiramisu and creme brulee. DH doesn't like either.

I love both of those.  My DH prefers chocolate desserts.

I almost typed deserts.  Though really, he probably would enjoy a chocolate desert.

Nah, Mine doesn't like anything. It would end up being banana pudding. I'm the dessert person. Love chocolate and richer desserts. I have always loved food though. Which why I suffer so much with my weight issues. Though part of it is hormonal.

DH and I's agreement on our wedding menu is that we get to have all our favorite comfort foods. Yeah it will be more on the whimsical country side then black tie but we're like that. I want mac and cheese dude- made my way- without a box.

i had an account at the beginning of my pregnancy and then stopped using it and had to restart because I forgot my info and my hard-drive crashed. DH finds my little bump addiction to be cute and I share the drama etc when things happen which secretly amuses him.

I am far from anal. If it looks clean then I'm happy. We live in a large house with little to no furniture. So its all just dusting, dishes, surfaces, and floors. So I can get it done fairly easily. Just no energy or desire. DH has sever OCD too, so I have to make myself clean. If I don't then he think the world is going to come after him and infest him with germs. It's so freaking weird.

Cleaning is my nemesis... particularly the decluttering part.  My house is not filthy at all, but I just need less stuff.

I dread moving.  Packing and making decisions about what to keep are not my strengths.  DH swears we're just going to pay someone to do all that for us.  The packing part, not the decision making.

I hated moving- I moved a ton in high school and it got good at keeping basic stuff- but now being established in my "home"- ugh ugh ugh. I got lucky in part this time around because I couldn't lift- however that just screwed with my need for control! lol

I've been the mood for beer cheese soup. Has your "taste" for things ever been altered during pregnancy? I've found myself liking things I normally would not- I still enjoy all the same foods- but certain things I would normally not enjoy- I'm totally into.

My Dh could care less if the apt is clean when he gets home- at a certain point the mess will bug him but I know how he lived before we got married- that point is a long stretch from mine. He's really awesome about helping though.

    and

I hated moving- I moved a ton in high school and it got good at keeping basic stuff- but now being established in my "home"- ugh ugh ugh. I got lucky in part this time around because I couldn't lift- however that just screwed with my need for control! lol

I just quoted this to see how much more narrow things could get up there.

Wtf?! The one night I manage to overcome my insomnia to go to sleep at a decent hour you all post 8 more pages!

Tuis is why I never sleep. Either this or my 2 month old. One or the other.

I love this thread.  It just spins on and on, like Pluto, it's all "WTFever, I don't CARE if you think I'm a planet or not.  I'm'a keep on keepin' ON!"

I enjoyed the William Carlos Williams immitations, and the ghazal was impressive.

I refuse to post any more on the child harness/carseat/spanking thread because my one and only response on that thread was really good.  I'm pathetically proud of myself for that one.

I love reading and usually get through 20+ books in the summer.  This summer I've failed miserably so far, and I even have a Kindle, so really, no excuse.

I've discovered that I can't read my Kindle.

I read something once about books - about how over time, as they age, they break down and replicate the scent of vanilla.  I think maybe if I spritzed the Kindle with vanilla, I'd read more.  Maybe?

OH! I made homemade vanilla this week. I can't WAIT for it to be ready.

Well, I must sleep. I have a doctors appointment in the morning. So I leave everyone with this:

    Goodnight! :)

I love this.  That's what our super fatty hammie looks like.  Except fatter.  She'd never get going that fast on the wheel.  Mostly she just sleeps under hers.

  • Holy shiz!! This really is still happening.

    I really was zombie bait.

    Sigh.
