PW today: Another convertible car seat Q

I'm done trying to reason with FI on why Kyle needs out of that tiny, hot, heavy infant seat when he keeps thinking of booster seats but wont sit still long enough to show him a pic of how NOT booster it is... I'm about to just buy one lol

I have a tiny Nissan Sentra-- does anyone know what the smallest seats are? So far is seems like a Roundabout 55 or Graco My Ride. I just want to make sure those are the 2 to be narrowed down to/ researched.

TIA!

  • Graco my ride won't fit in my corolla. The roundabout does. The radian is one of the most narrow but it costs an arm and 2 legs. Can you go to BRU or bbb and try them out? That's what I did.

  • I'm not sure about the smallest seat, but my hubby has the Roundabout in his car and Michael loves it. He's been in it for about a month and it's so much better than that heavy thing. He get overheated so quickly in it and so he's much happier in the big boy seat.

Good luck. I bet you can find a sweet deal on the Roundabout too.

I'm not too worried about wide so Mich as front to back space. I went to the store but they ALL look huge! Lol

  • I was just looking at target yesterday and there was an Eddie Bauer one with a sign that said "great for small cars". The fabric felt nice. This is the one:

  • We have the evenflo triumph 65, and it looks huge, but once in the car, actually takes less space than the infant seat.  Our BRU let us try the sample in our car...they just sent a sales person out with us.

    PS...PJ LOVES the convertible carseat.

  • They will let you take the carseat out to your car to try it out. I think you'd be happy with the roundabout though. For a cheap but safe seat the cosco scerena is good. It's not huge and only costs around$50. It was our extra seat with ds. We used it 3 years.

  • I'm worried about fitting a convertible RF in dh's car because it has to fit behind the passenger seat. Several people recommended the maxi cosi pria 70. I'm waiting for a Buy Buy Baby coupon to get it.

  • My mom drives a small car- Dodge Neon, and has an Evenflo Titan Elite for DD in it.  It fits fine and was under $100 at BRU.
