Pineapple??

Lately, people have been posting eating pineapple in their BFP posts? Anyone know what that's about? or have any experience with it?

(I googled it, and got some other board, but won't let me read it until I sign up for the site. Heck no! TB for life!)

Newbie thread:

Pineapple core (Bromelain) can help with implantation. Eat 1/5 of the core from O - 5dpo, but not longer. Not a ton of people do this, but you can try if you want to. It's better if you make it into a smoothie.

I had heard that it supposedly helps with implantation. We actually bought a pineapple the other day. Out of curiosity, I tasted a bit of the core - it's very fibrous and not good. I imagine the only way to eat it is to blend it with some liquid in a blender or food processor.

haha I noticed it was in a few BFPs posts as well and had a "hmm, maybe I need to go to the grocery store" moment. Although I'm still not to sure about eating the core :-/

Oh! Another tidbit... if a guy eats pineapple it's supposed to make they're semen taste delicious lol at one point FI ate pineapple every morning for a full week to try and "persuade me"... yeah didn't work lol

If a woman eats pineapple it will also make her "juices" taste sweeter. Give your H an A for effort! ;-)

had a pineapple in the fridge just ate some of the core...its not that bad its just harder than the fruit part. clearly I'm desperate

I'll hold you to it Your supposed to start at O and have it through 5DPO. I think I am 2DPO today (will confirm tomorrow) so I don't know if this is going to prove anything

I don't think I could - I love eating pineapple but I have heard the actual flesh of the pineapple is counteractive. (Papain is the ingredient in meat tenderizer - it's an enzyme found in pineapple)

So eating pineapple (not the core) is not good for you while ttc??

LMAO! Not sure that would work for me either....and you are supposed to give a dog pineapple if they eat their poop, makes it taste nasty to them....

Wow! Need to try this! For both reasons...implantation and so my mini dachshund stops obliterating her poop into a million pieces! ughhh!

I've heard that about all fruit - supposed to make semen taste sweet. I'm sure a man came up with that one.

If you have a grill (I guess it could work in the oven too), slice up the pineapple (so each slice is a round--kind of like pineapple rings in a can but with the core) and grill it. Grilled pineapple is delicious, and when you grill it the core is much softer and juicier and you can actually chew it really easily. Grilled pineapple is one of my favorite things to eat in the spring/summer.

We did grilled peaches earlier this summer - so good! I'll have to try pineapple!!

I tried the pineapple core things once - I blended it up in some virgin pina coladas. Very tasty!
