DS fell down the stairs

He's ok, but I've never been so scared in my life. He went down 14 stairs that were carpeted. Of course we over reacted just a bit and called 911 which led to a lovely ambulance ride that was totally unnecessary. I can't wait to get the bill for that! My only concern is that since it happened he has been waking up screaming in the middle of the night. I can't tell why since on top of the fall we also just weaned from nursing and he's now cutting his one year molars. Very frustrated that I can't seem to help him.

    The bill might be high, but at least you know he's been checked out! I hope he feels better soon!

    Poor guy, that's a lot going on right now! I'm glad he's okay though and hope everything calms down soon.

    Poor guy!! I probably would have called 911 too, so you're not alone there and now you know for sure that he's OK. I hope things calm down for you and him soon.

    PP is right, there is so much going on right now for our babies it could be anything that's bothering him.

    My LO did that too about 3 weeks ago. I left the room for a second and had the door to the basement closed but the latch was brokend and he fell all the way down in the few seconds I was gone. He cried for a minute and then wanted to play. I cried for hours but he was acting totally normal, playing and such so we didn't go to the hospital. I am very glad we have since moved to a house with no stairs.

    Hannah did this a few months ago. Cats knocked the baby gate loose, Hannah plowed through it and rolled down the stairs. She cried for a minute, then started playing with her hands. I called the doc but didn't take her to get checked. She was fine. She landed on her butt.

    Poor guy that is a lot of stuff to deal with at once.  I'm glad he's okay from the fall!

    Ash did this a few days ago. It scared the hell out of me! And I cried. He got over it real quick though and wanted me to put him down so he could climb back up!

    Oh no! Glad your LO is ok!

    Audra was playing on our small little landing while I was folding laundry on the stairs below. Somehow she knocked the large wall mirror down. It fell on her and she tumbled down the stairs. Thank god she was ok. She kept screaming wanting to play with all the broken glass.

    I'm glad he is OK!  I'm sure the ambulance ride will be expensive, but in a moment like that I would have done the same thing.  We had an accident a couple weeks ago too and I was a frantic mess!
