The best straw cup ever is the Playtex little gripper straw trainer. You can squeeze the cup so the water comes up the straw and the baby learns how to drink from it. My DD is 7 months and is already drinking on her own!! It is a great cup! I went to Target twice to buy the cup (first to buy one and then to get a spare one) and both times they had only one on the shelf. So I'm guessing it must be a hit.

The playtex has been LO's fav. He never would take the regular cups, only the straw ones since he was 6 months old.

Re: Baby Bargains book suggests no sippy cups, rather teach baby to use straw. Straw cup recommendation
