I didn't want to hijack the belt post.. so I started my own. I get really bad lower back pain. It feels like my tailbone is gonna pop sometimes. I wonder will my medical insurance cover this..
Mine is covering physical therapy 2x/wk until I see my doc again where she will see what to do with me if it hasn't helped. Mine is for sciatic/hip/sacral pain. I basically starting crying in the doctor's office yesterday because it hurt so much and she said, "Ooooh we need to start you on some kind of program to fix this. It's just going to get worse the bigger you get." hahaha
It's written as a prescription, so sometimes you do have a copay if you go to a center that isn't in your insurance's coverage area.
You could try calling them, or reviewing your benefits. Chiropractic care and physical therapy are fairly common, so I imagine your insurance has it listed as covered or not clearly.
My midwife has encouraged chiropractic care when the stress of the weight hits my back. My insurance covers chiropractic care 100%, so I will be going when I feel it's time.
I've been dealing with bad lower back/sacral/hip pain too. I was going to call the advice nurse today to see if she has any suggestions. I have been to physical therapy for my back before and my insurance covered it except for copays.
A more productive use of your time would have been to review your insurance policy or call your insurance company. No one here knows what your insurance covers. No need to post!
I think that it would have been fine to put this under the belt post.
If it's medically necessary, your insurance will cover it. Talk to your doctor, and your insurance company.
This. You may find that a few Physio sessions will definitely help to alleviate the pain. A lot of times in the therapy department I work in, we rent out tens units to pregnant women to use for pain management as it does not affect the baby negatively. I wouldn't recommend going out and getting one unless a doctor, midwife or physiotherapist has recommended one for you. Good luck and hope you are able to get some relief soon!
I had really bad lower back pain on the left side only. It was so intesne I had to go to the ER and they even thought it was kidney stones. I ended up going to the chiro after another trip to the doc and two more ultrasounds and the chiro was the only one to pinpoint the pain and help start me on a plan. I have really bad sacroilium joint pain because the hormones relaxed the joint and my pelvis does not stay straight causing bad pain. My insurance covered the chiro appts, i just pay a co-pay. My pain is actually decreasing and I hope it may go away completely. My chiro says he typiccally sees 3-4 preggos at a time, I would advise calling the insurance company and check your benefits and I DEFINITELY would recommend checking out a chiropractor that is comfortable working with pregnant women. i hope it helps for you.

Nope! I leave those duties up to JenniatONU. I have more important things to do. Like support my family and grow a child. Not that I'm implying that Jenni doesn't have more important things to do. We ALL have more important things to do than be on the Bump but Jenni is a superhero and manages to balance being board police with all of her other daily activities. She's sort of my idol.
I was just giving as good as I got the other day. You all do know the golden rule, don't you?
I'll stop the silly snarkiness and make an honest suggestion to you, LadyNikon. Try to think through your posts before you hit "post." I'm not trying to be obnoxious. Read them through and make sure that they say what you are intending them to say. They often come across as just random thoughts and then three posts down you tell us what you really intended to ask. I think that would really avoid a lot of confusion. Sometimes you might know what you mean but we don't if it's not clear in your original post. This isn't twitter and it doesn't have to be a stream of consciousness thing.

I'm not denying that what I said was rude...it was blunt, but a valid point. It is sort of hard to skip your posts when at times there have been 10 or more started by you on the front page alone. Post what you want, just know that a lot of people find it annoying.
And as Jenni has pointed out to you - you did the same thing to someone else a week or so ago.

If I remember correctly you told her no reason to post. You flat out told her that her gender announcement was not necessary. I thought that was harsh too. The gender of her child is a legit post. It did not come off as nice advice but rather snarky. Maybe it was another unfinished thought, but it wasn't nice.

Without trying to stir the pot or be overly rude... but I agree. The open stream of conciousness is odd on the forums. Once, I counted how many posts you started on just one page... it was 12. Starting posts isn't the problem, I guess, it's just the random nature of the posts that are more annoying. I mostly skip them, but still. Maybe it's good to be self aware.
Random side note, since this post, you haven't started any new posts. So, maybe you recognize it too.
I haven't had anything to say. I also find it interesting that people complain about a person posting too much but yet also complain that the boards are too quiet.

There is a difference in an "Active" board and someone posting every random thought they have.
Just because you start 10+ posts in a day does not mean this board is "active."

Actually what I did was tell her that she didn't have to create a post to test out a newly created signature. I didn't know that when I started on the forums. It was a lesson I had learned from someone else and I was sharing that information. I never made a rude comment and said her post was annoying. I never said maybe you should stick to twitter.
happilyeverafterxo: i will go cry in my Cheerios now that people find my posts annoying. If I made snide rude comments every time I found someones post annoying I would need to quit my job. I read the post and keep moving.
Bio
There is a difference in an "Active" board and someone posting every random thought they have.
Just because you start 10+ posts in a day does not mean this board is "active."
