Frozen Yogurt Recs?

DH and I always have a tub of low fat ice cream in the freezer, but now that I'm pg I figured maybe to switch to frozen yogurt. When I bought Edy's frozen yogurt, the fat content was almost the same as the low fat ice cream. Any recommendations for good frozen yogurt thats truly low fat or fat free?

Re: Frozen Yogurt Recs?

  • I just bought island farms vanilla with caramel chucks...I think it is about 3 grams of fat per serving?

  • DH is lactose intolerant so we only buy frozen yogurt. I have found that Hood makes the best as far as low fat and fat free options that are very tasty and come in a good variety of flavors. Recently we've had mocha swirl, chocolate, and chocolate brownie chunk and they were all delish! The chocolate brownie one only had 1.5g of fat per serving too!

  • I like Kemps.
  • They recently had a segment on the Today show about this.  In most cases, low fat ice cream and low fat yogurt were made from the same low fat milk....the only difference was they add cultures to the yogurt (which there is speculation about how effective they are after being frozen).

  • No rec's but can you tell me if there is an advantage to this that we should all know about?  Isn't this the time most people switch to ice-cream?  What am I missing?  For what it's worth I love to freeze kiefer into popsicle molds!
