Still breast feeding my son and will BF this little one also. If something happens and I cannot BF I will be looking into getting donated breast milk. If my supply is up like last time i will be donating again.

I BF'd DS for 12 months or so, and I intend to do the same again.

I'll be the odd man out. I'll probably FF again this time. I won't get into my HORRIBLE experience trying to BF last time. I reserve the rite to change my mind closer to time but as this very moment in time if I had to pick I'd FF.

Tried to breast feed both my first two babies and it just never worked out for us. I was able to pump some for the first few weeks but never produced enough. I figure what they get is better than nothing. My son also had HORRIBLE diaper rash while on breast milk...thinking he was somewhat allergic. This time around I will once again "try" but if it doesn't work I don't get myself all worked up.

I am going to try to BF, but it didn't work last time, so I'm not opposed to FF. But even if I do BF I will be pumping as well, so either way baby will get bottles (just not right away so there's no nipple confusion).

Definitely no odd man out... I breastfed all my babies and was always determined to go the full like year or whatever but in 2 cases it turned out that they were constantly hungry and i wasnt producing enough so we did both breast and bottle. no shame in the game!! I will intend on breastfeeding this baby but come 6 or 7 months old if she/he is hungry and im not making enough milk ill have to do what i have to do. Im going to also look into ways to get more milk to produce. I also am a lactation consultant volunteer locally here.
I want to BF as much as possible. However, with DD< I never produced enough milk for her and we supplemented with formula from the get-go. I still pumped/BFed til about 5 months and then we went to only formula.
I will be trying my all to BR. With DS, I had a really low supply, and ended up supplementing, but some breast milk was better than none, so I gave him what I could for as long as my body produced it. Sadly I dried up around 8 months.
I don't think I was drinking enough water, and I think I was stressing myself out way too much. I'm hoping I can learn from these mistakes and have a better supply this time around.
I'll be renting a hospital grade pump (which i did that last time), and pumping at work and then nursing when I'm home.
I am still BF'ing DD. I have loved my nursing relationship with her. I am also happy to see so many mommies planning to go this route. I plan to exclusively BF again however I am planning to wean DD in the next 4 months. Fingers crossed. I really strongly believe I was so successful because I read a couple books on nursing, took a class, and went to the lactation clinic whenever I needed. There are a lot of ways to inadvertently decrease milk supply and many ways to encourage it. I also had enough milk to donate to the milk bank. It definitely requires some work but is so, so rewarding to nurse. I wish all the mommies who want to BF the best of luck!
Still nursing DS, and plan to with this one. Also for the twin mamas there is a mom on the july11 board that is still pumping for her twins. So it is possible.

I breastfed DD#1 for 6 months and will try and do the same this time around. I'm not going to stress too much if it doesn't work this time...I hope anyways. We had a rocky start because I couldn't nurse for the first few days while DD was in the NICU and then eventually we were able to start nursing but the nurses would cap the length of time we could try and then would top her off with formula. They had an all important schedule to keep to you see!
It wasn't until about the 3 month mark that we settled into nursing and the pain went away. I had to use a nipple shield the whole time which sucked, and I also had raynaud's in my nipples for the first several months. That was fun...
I also found that for the last few months that I was nursing I became terribly depressed, was diagnosed with PPD, and was in a really bad place. As soon as I stopped nursing I turned around and was a totally different person. It felt like nursing was causing my PPD.
So with all that said, we will try and breastfeed but if it doesn't work out, I will be switching to formula!
I plan on BF. For me it's one of those things that I think of when I think of becoming a mom. I will be home with the baby for 3 months then go back to work for one month while I finish out the school year and then have the summer off again so if I can figure out a way (it's hard with breaks as I teach 1st) to pump enough for that month that I'm back at work I'll hopefully BF for at least 7 months. I would love to go a full year and I just hope I'll be able to work it out with my work schedule and get enough to make it worth it!!

I REALLY want to bf. It's something I've always wanted to do. However my DR had a different plan in mind. As I've stated before I'm bipolar and have gone off my medication for the pregnancy. She doesn't think I'll survive postpartum without it. I feel I'm doing quite well all things considered. And I'm going to fight for the right to giving bf-ibg a try. If it doesn't work I'm ok with it but I will be giving it a full effort. I'm God had it in the cards for me and Sweet Pea. Only time will tell. I was just really bothered when my dr gave me a flat out no.
I hope to be able to breastfeed, it is something I looked forward to doing ever since I got pregnant with my son. I hope I will get the chance this time.
I tried BF both of my first two sons. The first was a preemie and I was too stupid to keep the NICU from giving him bottles before I had a chance to put him to breast (he was tube fed for a week prior to trying a bottle). The second weighed almost 12 pounds when he was born and was ready for steak when he came out--I never produced anything. After putting so much energy into it the first two times and being devastated when it didn't work out, personally, I think BF is extremely overrated for my family. I think it's awesome when people can do it and it works out for them. It just didn't for me. Being my 3rd baby, I have plenty of other things to worry about this time around.
I will try to BF - I know it's hard & some women can't but I sure hope to BF. I would like to make it a year but I'll probably pump after 3-6 months so DH can be more involved.
I'm going to try to BF. I tried with DS, but couldn't get him to latch properly, even LCs couldn't get him to latch on the breast. It was something about his suck reflex. I managed to make it to 4 months with the occasional formula supplement, but it was a complete battle that only stressed me out. It also didn't help that I had people around me who kept making me feel like a failure because I was switching to formula. Ultimately, I'm going to do what's best for baby and for me!
I breasted DD for 21 months which was way longer than I ever thought I would! I plan to BF this LO too...I loved nursing and think it helped to create ar really special bond between my daughter and me.

With ds I exclusively pumped for 14 months. I'm hoping to be able to directly BF this time, but if I can't I'll pump for as long as I can. I'll still need to pump since I'll go back to work, but it would be nice to BF directly also. I will aim for a year if I can and definitely 6 months.
I'm going to try BF again. With DD it didn't work to nurse, so I pumped. I've already decided if there are issues with nursing, I will go to pumping again.
Im hoping to BF again. With my DD i was only able to BF for the first 5 months because i wasnt able to eat right myself with some stuff that was going on. so hopefully i will be able to BF longer with this LO.
Any mom's out there who have pierced nipples? i had mine pierced before DD and i got them redone about 6 months ago. Hoping to be able to keep them (obviously not while feeding baby but taking them out when it's time to fee and putting them back in when im done ect.) But just curious if anyone else was concidering BF with the piercings also.

I BF my daughter for one year--and I think #2 came along to be only 1 cycle after I stopped! I will try to BF longer this time (DH gave me a hard time, saying DD was too old to nurse anymore) and hopefully have more spacing between #2 and #3 than we do between #1 and #2.

This, only that with DS we went to only FF at 2 months
I'm planning to breastfeed. I hope my work schedule will stay flexible enough that I won't have to pump too much, but we'll have to figure all that out when the time comes...

Barring any medical complications that prevent it, I will definitely be breastfeeding, no doubt about it!
EDIT: I'm super psyched to see so many moms BFing!
