Miranda Lambert song - "Over You"

I heard this song in the car a few months ago and it made me think of Max and Molly. It's become my song for them. I always crank it when I hear it in the car but it gets me every time. Have any of you heard it? If you need a good cry, here is the YouTube video of the song.

I recently saw an article that said "Over You" is actually a song that Blake Shelton wrote for his brother, who died in a car accident. It was too difficult for him to sing, so Miranda sang it for him.

    This is also my song for baby Gary.  The lyrics in the first verse so closely resemble our story.  We lost the baby December 14 and he was due February 18 ("Mid February shouldn't be so scary... It was only December, I still remember...")  It always seems to be on the radio at the right times, too.  Thanks for posting this!

    This was the song that was playing on the radio when I got into the car to go home from the hospital without my baby. It always makes me tear up when I hear it!

    I didn't know that song so thank you for posting it. I constantly listen to Peter Gabriel's "I Grieve."

    I connect with the December part too! The Feb part for me is a stretch but Max and Molly very well could have been born in Feb because I would have been around 34 weeks. I usually think about how I had to go back to work in mid Feb and how hard it was because I should have been going on maternity leave. Then the part about being written "in stone"...so sad.

    Have you seen the video? I didn't know it was about child loss until she went to the headstone.  It all made sense then.

    Miranda Lambert is one of my favorite singers.
