NBR -- I am a writer, so why is this so hard?

I work in PR, but formerly was a journalist. I recently submitted an article for a local magazine about our company, and now I've been asked to provide a bio including professional and personal info. It's supposed to be 200-250 words! Doesn't that seem a bit excessive considering the article was only 800? I mean, what am I supposed to say past my job title, volunteer activities and schooling? Any ideas on how I could stretch this a bit?

Share about any quirky interests you have, or something you like to do in your free time?

Whenever I have to share about myself, regardless of the forum, I like to let people know that I spend my free time preparing for the zombie apocalypse and that I strongly believe there is never an occasion that doesn't warrant an obscene amount of baked goods.

lol at zombies. I'm not sure I have quirky interests. I'm boring the heck out of myself over here trying to come up with something that isn't lame.

I used to love writing pre-pregnancy, but now my brain is so scattered I have a hard time writing, even the simplest things that I could generate in little to no time now takes me a couple hours to complete. It drives me crazy and sometimes it takes me minutes to come up with a word I want to use - for example I was writing about my dog on here and I wanted to talk about a racoon and it took me forever to think of the word racoon. I had the racoon image in my head but I couldn't think of what they were called. I chalk this up to pregnancy brain. lol

Can you give a bit of info that relates you to the article you wrote? I always see that in women's mags -- like "Betty is a mom, blah, blah, and she learned how to do XYZ while researching the article on page 43."
