Due date was yesterday. Had my doc appt yesterday and she said I am 80-90pct effaced and 3cm. She also stripped my membranes but nothing so far. Stress tests scheduled for Tues and Thurs and induction Next Fri if baby still isn't here. I really don't want to be induced so hoping baby comes before then on his/her own.
How is everyone feeling? Need some buddies to get through the next few days. Starting to go batty! Also, I live in NYC so I'm still schlepping to work on the subway in this heat and the AC in my office is horrible which isn't helping!
Re: Who is 40+ weeks out there?
Me! I was due Monday. Induction set for Monday. No progress in there as of yesterday. Had two stress tests and two U/S's this week and all is well - had enough amniotic fluid, baby is happy, so here I sit and wait.
I'm in NJ, the heat stinks lately - I can't imagine the subways . .. ugg.
I lost some of mine yesterday and felt horrible last night. I'm hoping something is working as this is what happened a couple days before I had my first two - good luck : )
I've got 5 days to go and am in the CT heat with you NE ladies. Still schlepping to work also. I'm also nervous I'm going to be in the same boat come next week, and I have Dr.s who are against pelvic exams and membrane sweeping and all that other stuff which really stinks.
Just want to say good luck to you both...and the update is good news!!
4 days late. Due last Monday.
So far, just 1 cm dilated, losing my mucous plug.
I'd like to have this baby now! This summer heat wave is not helping either. I've tried sex, red raspberry tea, lots of walking, squatting. I know many FTM deliver late, but I really don't want to drag this for more than on week. Hopefully by Tuesday, I'll have my baby.

My body has 10 hours left to go into real labor on its own, or we head to the hospital at 8PM to start the induction process. After nearly a month of false labor, I'm still closed but soft. My mom tells me I've inherited her "no labor" gene. She was induced late with both kids, and I think the only way my kid is coming out of me is drugs. At my last NST, we got a good shot of the baby throwing us the peace sign. It's way too happy and chill in there.
I'm so thankful to live in San Francisco, where, even in the sunny part of the city, the highs are in the low/mid 70s. I can't imagine what you ladies who live in heat wave parts of the country are going through. I grew up in the midwest dealing with heat and humidity, and I never want to deal with that again.
Props to you ladies. I've still got 3.5 weeks left and I'm already miserable. Getting up to pee multiple times in the middle of the night has become quite the chore and is often accompanied by grunting and groaning and other strange noises.
Luckily my boss has agreed to let me start working at home the week before my EDD so I won't have to deal with the sweltering 100 degree days here in FL.
