What do you and DH do? MH is an engineer in the oil field. He's on his last hitch abroad now. He and his BIL started an investment firm and starting next month he'll be doing that full time. I am unemployed right now. We've moved around a ton in the last 5 years so my resume is in shambles. Once we make our (hopefully) final move back to the midwest this winter, I'd like to open a vintage shop. I'll also help DH with the company (cuz boys ALWAYS forget the details)
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I think I'll be part SAHM and part WM. Depends on how much the company grows in the next few years.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? We'll use MIL. She'll be close by once we move and she could use the entertainment. Since her last daughter left for college she's going nuts without any kids at home.
What do you and H do?
Me: marketing director or local performing arts non-profit. H: business data analyst.
SAHM or WM? Probably part time each. I'd live to find a way to work from home...I need a career change!
Not sure home care/daycare/family member. I have a friend who is expecting her 1st who currently works at a daycare but may become a SAHM. We hav talked about paying her to watch our children as well.

What do you and DH do? I am a social worker and H is working in retail. We hope to open our own business one day, a metaphysical/natural healing center
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? WM..I make a majority of the money. H might be a stay at home dad for the first few years until we get out business up and running. Then the kids would be with us at the store

We would have to use a day care if we were both working. Family either works or is far away.

What do you and DH do? My husband is a cop and I work at a large securities firm full time

What do you and DH do? I have a small bakery bussiness (I run it from our home) until I have all my papers ready and can work again. DH is a professor in the Culinary department at a university.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I'm still not sure. I know DH would LOVE for me to be a SAHM, but I don't know if I can do it.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? If I work, it's most likely we'll leave the LO with my MIL. She lives 15 mins away and is a SAHM herself (My DH has a little brother, 6 years old)

What do you and DH do? DH is a Correctional Officer. I am now a SAHW as of yesterday. However I will be picking up a part time job and going back to school soon.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? We would like for me to be a SAHM. However I may take a year off then work three days a week. We will see.

What do you and DH do? I am a consultant. It's not where I want to be and I hope to go back to school within the year. DH is a Marine. He's a crew chief on helicopters and also a mechanic on them. He has a cool job.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? Most likely working, perhaps I'll be a student and not work. Depends on the timing.

What do you and DH do? We both work at the university that we graduated from, different offices though. I'm on the academic side (staff, not faculty) and he's in business and finance.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I would love to be a SAHM. We have to see how it goes.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? This is my worry, because I can't figure it out yet if I end up working through the first year or two of my baby's life. Family is close, but not close enough to babysit every day. Who knows!

I'm an elementary school counselor. DH is a Resident Director at a local university. (He runs a residence hall, is in charge of the RAs, and deals with students when they have conflicts or misbehave).
I want to be a SAHM. That's always been my dream. Not sure if we will be able to swing that, but I'm hopeful.
If I end up having to work and we move back home I know some great-grammas who would love to babysit
If we don't end up at home and I have to work we'll probably do daycare

What do you and DH do? I'm an analyst/consultant for a Electronic Medical Record Company, DH is an insurance agent
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I plan to be a WM but work from home since my job gives the option to telecommute. DH is also starting a social networking website which is starting to gain some buzz so if that takes off, I might consider being a SAHM
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? My mom will help for sure plus I have 4 sisters and cousins so we'll have plenty of help. If necessary, we would do homecare

What do you and DH do? DH is a dentist. I'm a part-time freelance grantwriter.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? Technically I'm a WAHM but get too distracted working literally in my home so I'm often at a coffee shop or my client's office.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? Our is a mash-up of all of them. We have a great woman who does childcare in her home. The girls go there 2 mornings/wk. DH is off on Wednesdays. I try to schedule work around those times but then have Grandmas/my Aunt/College age sitter for the odd meeting or deadline.

What do you and DH do? I'm a high school special ed teacher, DH is a tool and die maker
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I'm a WM, I thought I would like to be a SAHM, but after spending the first 15 months at home, I know I was wrong, plus we couldn't afford it.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? We use a home daycare. It's a mom from my mom group and I was really comfortable with her, plus her son is the same age as mine. She only looks after 3 children.

Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? Nope, I am the breadwinner. We couldn't come close to surviving on just DH's income.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? We haven't discussed it yet, but my mom will probably watch our kids. She currently watches my nephew and is going to watch my future nephew when he is born late september. If she won't watch our LOMthen we will look into daycare options.

October 2012-May 2014: 4 failed IUIs, 3 failed IVFs, and 1 failed FETw/donor embryos
November 2014: IVF w/ICSI #4 Agonist/Antagonist with EPP and Prednisone, Baby Aspirin, Lovenox, and IVIG for immune issues. Converted to freeze all due to lining issues. 2 blasts frozen on day 6!
January 2015: FET #2 Cancelled due to lining issues
April 2015: FET #2.1

What do you and DH do? I am a first grade teacher. MH manages an oil field service company.

If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? If I HAVE to work, I hope to either find in home care I really trust or a small church daycare. The plan was always to leave our LO with my MIL who retired to keep all the grandkids, but last year MH was transfered 6 hrs away from all our family. That plan is out, now!
I'm curious to know why it was negative. My concerns have always been (especially with one LO), a lack of socialization/educational experiences. Also, you always hear horror stories about abusive in home nannies. I feel like in daycare, employees are held more accountable and have standards they must meet.
What do you and DH do? H is a foreman for a construction company and I'm a bank teller and student. I'm going to school to become a physical therapist assistant.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? I'll stay home the first 6-12 weeks, then it's back to work. It's all really depending on when I get KU and where I am at in my program.

I'd probably work mostly mornings and H would work evenings. My job requires me to close at least once so we'd switch one to two days a week.

What do you and DH do? I write technical reports for an engineering company. Hubs is in the car business, service side.
Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? Assuming nothing changes, both. I work from home most of the week. I plan to take about four months off, then go back to work.
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? I work from home most days, but the days that I do go into the office, my mom will help. I'm only there half days. When the baby is a little older, I would like to look into part-time church groups for the day(s) I go to the office.
What do you and DH do? I'm a hairstylist and DH is a Premise Technician for AT&T.

Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? Working mom. If I didn't have to work, I wouldn't (though I'd probably go back to work once my future kids were in school full time out of boredom).
If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? Honestly have no idea yet. I would prefer in home care, but I work at home. I wouldn't be able to work if baby were around. Maybe once we have a big enough house where I can reasonably be secluded in an office somewhere and baby and care taker are elsewhere. No family members (at least any that would take care of babies) live near us, so that's out (though I'm sure MIL would love to--she already loves to go take care of our nephew when needed). So maybe an in-house day care at someone else's house if I can find something like that. That's what I had growing up until I was in 2nd grade when me and my older brother and sister would basically come home from school, play, and pretty much take care of ourselves (our dad worked at home too, so he was around if needed).
What do you and DH do? I'm a tech writer for a gov't contractor. DH is the assistant director for the water company. Are you/do you plan to be a SAHM or a WM? WM. Sometimes I wish I was a SAHM, but other days I'm glad that I get to go to work and interact with adults. If you work or plan to work will you use in home care, a family member, or a daycare center? We use a small in home daycare (6 kids with 2 adults)
