I just got my BFP last night, I was supposed to run a 5K on Wednesday night with my family (DH,BIL,FIL) - is this ok? We told FIL about BFP, so he'll understand, but I kinda wanted to run.

I was training for a marathon when I found out I was pregnant... still ran the marathon at 8 weeks pregnant. Was going to run another one at 22 weeks pregnant but the weather was way too hot. If you have no history of issues I don't see why you shouldn't be able to run.
I have a 5K coming up in a couple of weeks. DH and I are doing it together. We'll start at our normal pace, but slow down and take walking breaks if needed. I've been pretty fatigued this time around but exercise makes me feel much better! Just listen to your body and rest when needed. Good luck!
I did a 100 mile bike ride when pregnant with DD1 at about 8 weeks. I got the okay from from doctor's office. I just kept an eye on my heartrate and listened to my body. I stopped a little early the first day because I was feeling a little off. Good luck on your run!
At 6 weeks I ran a 1/2 marathon and I even got a PR! I say do it! Just listen to your body and take breaks if you need them. Also, make sure to drink extra water. I find that I need to drink tons more water now that I am pregnant. Good luck and have fun!
Yes! I'm the same as pp -- I ran a marathon at about 8 weeks pregnant and he's now a very healthy toddler! You can totally run in early pregnancy and I continued to run throughout.
Go for it! I'm still running 3 miles 5-6 times a week, and (so far) it has really helped me with getting by without back pain and swelling- Just listen to your body
I ran a half when I was 9 weeks pregnant. With heavy training all the way leading up to it. I also ran consistantly 3-4 miles every other day up until about 7 1/2 months pregnant. As long as you were running/training prior and your body is used to the activity, you will be fine. If you are concerned about it, maybe check with your doc but unless you are sedentary normally, there should be no problem. Have fun!
I am very pregnant...see ticker. I just stopped running this past week and was able to run 2-4 miles each run. You can do it and I am sure you will be fine! Have fun!!
It's healthy to do anything that you were doing before pregnancy because your body is used to it. The only exception would be if it hurts or your doctor has advised against it.

This is well-meaning advice based on one personal experience, but you really need to ask your doctor. Mine recommended that I not do high impact exercise (including running) in the first trimester, even though I am a well conditioned athlete. Talk to your doctor about his/her recommendations, as well as the potential risks of stressing your body during the early weeks.

And congrats on the BFP!!
I would still go ahead and do it if you're feeling alright!

I stopped running once I hit 10w, and cannot wait until after this baby comes b/c I'll be back at it!
