I am also interested in buying a doppler, but I dont know much about how much they cost or where to get one or anything. Interested to hear if anyone has ever purchased one.
I'm not going to buy one because I know I'll get obsessive, but I totally understand why someone would want to . My best friend had one and she absolutely loved it!

I bought one from Amazon for my first pregnancy and loved it. I just got it out and listened to the baby Sat. night and it puts me at such ease hearing it. I listen about once a week or when I don't have symptoms!
Mine was about $30 and works really well. I borrowed it to two of my pregnant friends and they loved hearing their babys and it put them at ease as well.

My cousin is now 21 weeks, but was put on bedrest at 12 weeks because her placenta wasnt attaching properly. At the time we didnt think we would be getting pregnant anytime soon, so I bought her the doppler that was recommended for her to sort of ease her worries. The day she got it she cried. She isnt able to feel movements yet, so being able to hear the heart beat while on bedrest has helped tremendously. We are not telling family yet, so I cant steal it yet, but I had definitely bought it thinking I could use it after her.
For my last pregnancy I bought and Angelsounds doppler, also from amazon.
DH and I loved listening to the heartbeat during those early weeks before he/we could feel and see the baby move. It really helped DH bond with the baby from early on and it gave us both such peace of mind.
Obv - a home doppler is NO replacement for a Dr and if you have any worries about your baby/pregnancy then you talk with your Dr or go to a hospital and speak with a professional - you DONT RELY on the doppler.
That said, I ?m really looking forward to using it again during this pregnancy.
I also bought one on ebay with the last baby. I haven't dragged it out yet, but I liked having it last time between appointments. I made sure I only used it once every other week, otherwise I'd be obsessive about it.
I did. I got the sonoline b fetal doppler and loved it. I didn't think it was worth DH taking vacation time to go to my appointments with me since all they did was weigh me, check my urine, and listen to the heartbeat so I purchased a doppler. I'm glad I did and I'm excited to be able to use it this time.
I got an Angelsounds one with DD and loved it. I have to admit that I've already tried it once or twice this time Big surprise - I haven't heard anything yet (I'm only 7w2d). With DD I checked once a week starting at around 10w until I could feel movement at 20w.

We bought one when I was pregnant with DD and we loved it. I've been using it this week and we've been able to listen to the heartbeat. We don't listen to it every night. We probably use it once a week. We have the Hi Bebe doppler and we love it.

I rented one with my first pregnancy and totally flipped out when I couldn't find the HB at around 10 weeks. My husband made me send it back.
My friend has one and she offered to let me borrow it and I am still debating. I think it is more common to hear the HB with one after 12 weeks.
