Hi everyone! My transfer is tomorrow at 10am. I'm not very optimistic about it and am expecting to get a call that my embabies stopped growing. Time will tell.
    3 ectopic pregnancies (EDD's 1/30/12-tube removed, 6/2/12-methotrexate and 10/2/12-methotrexate)
IVF and Natural FET resulted in BFN's and a hole in our wallets
Natural BFP #4 on 9/7/12 gave us our miracle on 5/18/13
    Lilypie First Birthday tickers
  • Dealing with a surprise BFP and my second loss this week...BFP on Monday and dx'ed as a loss today.  Once we're through this, we'll be doing that testing and starting medicated cycles.  We are also continuing to move forward with foster/adopt, despite the fact that the state is making it difficult.  Just surviving over here.

  • Not much new here.  Dealing with a stressful living situation with the neighbor upstairs.  Told our landlords, either he goes or we do.  Giving it until September, if he isn't gone, I guess we look into buying a house.  Apparently the stress is getting to me, AF is not normal this month.  The last time stress affected AF was when I was 13 dealing with my Grandma dying.  Found out my exh is in jail for DV, guess I got out just in time.

Hope you guys are all doing well.

  • I'm catching up at work (and here) after a 2 week vacation (woohoo!) to visit my in-laws. I'm on a charting break but unless I'm having a whacky cycle, all signs point to being about 6dpo. I'm not feeling particularly hopeful, but I am glad that our timing was better this time around.

I'm 18+ months into TTC#1 but I'm only on cycle 7 since our 2nd loss. At the time, my OB said to come back and see her after 6 cycles if I was feeling anxious, though, she expected I'd be KU before that. I recently emailed her about possibly starting some basic testing and she highly encouraged me to wait the full year. By the time I qualify for testing, I'll have already marked the 1 year milestone of my first EDD. It just doesn't seem right.

At the same time I'm nervous about taking next steps and DH really wants to keep trying on our own. So, I will wait patiently. Apart from TTC, life is good right now and I know that. Oh, and today is our wedding anniversary!

I'm very, very sorry to see members of 6+ having to return from PGAL in the past few weeks. ((huge hugs)) ladies.

  • VQ- I hope the therapy is helpful. Good for you for no longer talking to M and ignoring C.

Delino- Grow embies grow! I'm crossing my fingers and toes that your transfer goes smoothly and those little tinies snuggle in.

Hoping- I'm so sorry. Big huge hugs!

Jenn- Ugh, sorry your internist wasn't so helpful. I think you've mentioned this but remind me, have you thought about celiacs?

Rawr- I'm so sorry your neighbor is being a douche. Hopefully the landlord gets it under control. You really are lucky you got out when you did! In jail for DV, holy moly!

HH- Yay for vacation!! I'm sorry your OB isn't being as forward thinking as you'd like. Hopefully this month is your month and you don't have to wait anymore. and the happiest of happy anniversaries to you!!

  • So an update on me. Well other than being essentially invisible and never on the boards, I don't know how exciting things have been.

My family was here, then immediately after that one of my bridesmaids flew down from Boston for a visit. It was nice to have family here and I haven't seen D since the wedding so that was a treat. We're still working on house hunting and have another one to look at Monday. I just keep telling myself eventually we'll find the perfect place.

After that I have been going nonstop. It's summer time so work is always a bit more crazy, a professor from a FL university contacted me and wanted to collaborate on one of my research projects which was such a great feeling. Right when he showed up for three days of sampling TS Debby hit and ruined our fun. We have a plan B and should have a new paper or poster out before the big international meeting in February.

I'm dragging my tail through school. I've been fighting with one specific paper for about two weeks and every sentence has been a fight. I'm not sure why I'm so blocked when it comes to it, but for some reason I just can't get into a groove. The closer my trip to Guyana gets the more awesome is seems and the more excited I become. I keep learning more about the country and the culture and I just can't wait!!

In TTC land, well we're TTA, still. But aren't doing a good job of being committed to it. We've tossed out condoms and I'm temping so that we have a general idea of when I ovulate so we know when to go back to condoms or avoid. Up until this month we were willing to have an "oops" and have me be KU in Guyana, but it's be to soon in the pregnancy to travel if I got KU now so it's time to buckle down. DH went for a general physical and he requested a testosterone check. It came back on the low end of normal range and well, he doesn't care for at at all seeing as how he's young enough that it should be in the higher part of the range. We aren't to sure what to think or do about that, but it definitely stirred things up for a few days.

I think that's about it! Big hugs to everyone!!

I hope that your H's results don't stress him or you out too much - I've always been told by my doctors that as long as it's in the "normal" range, it's not anything to be too concerned about, but I know that's easier said than done...

  • Hi all.

My first medicated cycle was a bust but, not unexpectedly so as our timing was terrible. So we're trying medicated cycle #2, but once again, I think our timing is going to be off as I'm supposed to be ovulating sometime next week if all goes well, and my H is working a local music festival that week and the following week so he'll be out to the wee hours every night and exhausted. Blah. On the plus side, the meds gave me a 28 day cycle, something I've not had really ever. (My average O is on CD40 according to Fertilityfriend).

In my non-TTC life, things are going well. I found out this week that I will not be losing my job (yay!) - I work for the Federal government in Canada and there have been huge cuts going on since April when the budget was announced. I'd been put on notice that my job might be surplussed back in April but got a letter two days ago that said I was confirmed in my position. Which is a huge relief, especially since the maternity benefits at this job are so much better than at any private company I'd been looking at. Hopefully not having that stress over our heads will improve things :)

As for me, I'm just waiting until August when I'm going to have my LAP/hysteroscopy surgery...technically I could do it sooner but BIL's wedding is 7/21 so I don't want to spoil that for myself and DH by being in recovery still.  Plus this gives me a little more time to get used to the idea of surgery, I've only ever had oral surgery and so I'm a little apprehensive.

I'm really hoping once they remove my septum most of my problems will be cleared up with medicine and monitoring...I guess time will tell!  I'm feeling hopeful right now though.

Good luck with the surgery - I'm sure it will go well, but I agree it's always a bit nerve-wracking, even if you've had surgery before. So glad you're feeling hopeful - that's half the battle - and I hope that it will help fix things for you.

TTCAL Update- I'm starting my IVF cycle. I'm currently on BCP. I go on Monday for my baseline appt. I start stims July 9th and am looking at an egg retrieval date of 3rd week in July. We're also doing PGD so we'll do a 5dt *hoping* we have good embies to transfer. DH and I are in sticker shot. But, we're trying to stay calm. Huh? And, we're getting our puppy July 13th. I think we're going to name her Bella.

    I forgot to reply.

Things are going great. I'm in a really happy place for right now. Just enjoy life to the fullest. We are hitting the year mark soon when our world got turned upside down and can't believe it.

Im on the TTA bench till August from my MMC. That is fine by me since I'm still spotting. Other then that not much is going on.

Left Hug  Great to see you too! Glad you're in a happy place, you can't ask for much more than that!

  • Viking - so glad to see that therapy was a success for you.  I hope it continues to help you grow and get to a place where you can be happy for yourself.

Delino - I've got everything crossed for you buddy!  You deserve some great news soon.

Hoping - I'm sorry you have to go through this again.  I hope that the testing can give you some answers.  Good luck with your medicated cycles and pursuing adoption.

Jenn0021 - I'm so sad to hear that no one has been able to help you find some relief from feeling so ill.  ((hugs))

Rawr - I just had to lay down the law with our neighbors too a few months ago.  I hate that people cannot have respect for one another.  I hope you get away from them soon. Also that's  terrible about you ex I'm glad you saw a way out before it was you.

HH - I'm glad to hear life is good for you right now and that you are taking the time to enjoy it.  As for testing, if you think it will help before the year mark I say puch for it.  Sometimes peace of mind is everything! Happy Anniversary!

Mille - From where I'm standing it sounds like things have been pretty exciting for you!  I hope you have a fantastic time on your upcoming adventures and I know you will rock the research collab with your professor colleague. He made a good choice!

vinceandang - Good luck with IVF.  PGD should up your chances considerably, FX for you.

stillbaking - good luck on you next medicated cycle. I hope your wrong about the timing and you find a way. Yay! for keeping your job.

MrsErinH - ((Hugs)) fx your surgery goes well.

Jenek - I hope the new clinic is a better fit for you and DH. It sounds like they have better options for you.  Good luck!

Stlucia - glad to hear things are going great and you're in good place hold on to that while you navigate through Brandon's birthday. (((Hugs)))

  • As for me, I'm still loving my job. I can't believe it's been a month already. It's what I needed right now. Focusing on training and getting up to speed with the company has helped to distract me from other things in my life that are depressing.

On the TTC front not much has changed.  I don't think I'm ovulating and that's hard to see when I look at my chart every morning. I plan to call the OB tomorrow to schedule an appointment to see him for some BCPs. It looks like that's all I can do right now to help regulate my cycle.  It hasn't been the same since IVF and my MCs.

Still feeling pretty hopeless.  I struggle with whether or not I should call it a day and face the fact that DD will be an only child every single day.  Some days are harder than others to deal with but I'm just don't know how to quit.  In the mean time I will start the BCPs most likely the middle of July and stay on them until September or October.  It all depends on what he Dr says when I call him.

I honestly don't know where I'm going or where I belong these days.

  • Wow! Have I really not been on TB in that long? *hangs head in shame*

I'm doing well. I had my first acupuncture session on Friday. I've also been drinking that T&C Formula stuff... i'm waiting to see if anything happens from that. For how gross it is, i really hope it works!

I got my dragonfly tattoo! I love it!!!

I'm still jobless for the summer, even though I put in a few applications. I know I have a job at a Stop and Rob, but I don't know if I want to work there.  I will if nothing else comes through.

Our kitty died yesterday. He had kidney failure and we knew he'd be gone by the end of the year. I just never thought it would have happened so quickly.

The very first kitty we had together we adopted from an older woman who was moving into a nursing home. The cat developed kidney failure a year later. She showed signs of the advanced failure for weeks, walking around in circles, meowing for no reason, blindness... and then finally lost all strength. We took her to the vet 2 days later to be put to sleep.

Our kitty showed no major signs that he was declining that fast. He wasn't eating that much, and I had noticed some sight issues. But he still had a ton of energy and was running around. But Saturday morning he was laying on his blanket odd. When I went over to him he didn't move, and when I picked him up he had lost all of his energy. So I carried him around and held him, and 4 and a half hours later he died in my arms. Although it was difficult, I'm glad it was on his terms, and in my arms. I'm going to miss him!
