I have been working on weather stories the last couple days so I've been outside a lot. I was talking to my editor and said something about how hot it is and how it's even hotter because I'm pregnant. She said "Well at least you're only 4 months pregnant and not 8 months pregnant like you're supposed to be."

I was due in July but miscarried. I started tearing up when she said it and she apologized but I still am kind of in shock that she would even say something like that. It felt like I was punched in the gut.

    Ugh that is a horrible thing to say I am so sorry! I'm glad she apologized but I am still amazed by the things that people say! It's true that common sense is not common any more.

    Wow, I would be so upset.  I should have delivered last week, and would definitely have taken that over the alternative.

    Holy crap!  What a b*tch!  I can't believe it.  As hard as it is, try not to let it bother you.  If it were me, I wouldn't talk about my pregnancy AT ALL in front of her again.

    I hope to God she had a total brain fart when she said that. It doesn't make it any better but it kinda sounds like she had a "Doh" moment & apologized.  I'm sorry she had to say that.

    What a freaking moron. Do people just not think at all before they open their mouths? I hope she felt really bad afterwards. Might make her think twice before saying something so stupid in the future.

    Definitely didn't think that one out before she said it.  That was totally heartless of her to say out loud, but I'm glad she recognized that immediately and apologized.
