    I am having an epidural. As pp's have said, everyone's pain tolerance is different. I had one with DD #1. DD #2 was a c-section. But I plan to have a vaginal delivery with little man, so epidural it is. lol

    I am going to see how I feel personally.  This is my first and I have no idea what to expect...Many people (who have taken the epidural have told me the pain is "the most awful of your life", while those who have opted not to have said " It wasn't a walk in the park, but it was bearable."

    However, both my Mother and Aunt had their babies without an epidural, my Mom had a midwife and my Aunt in the hospital.  Largely it will depend on the length of labour...my Aunt was 8 hours start to finish and my Mom's labour came and went until 7 cm...My goal is to last without drugs, but if I am in hard labour and nearing hour 24 and in desperate need of sleep I will take the epidural.
