Strep throat

I've been having a pretty rough week where mostly everything has gone wrong.  I got called yesterday at work by the sitter telling me DD had a low fever.  I really just thought it was her teeth because I can see two bumps on her lower jaw.  I put a call into the pedi anyway because we are flying to NY to see family today.  While waiting at the dr DD was smiling and laughing.  I was annoyed because I thought she was fine and I was wasting my time.  The dr said her throat was a little red and she would swab her for strep just to make sure since we were going out of town.  She came back in and said DD was very positive for strep!  My poor baby!!  At least she's a good sport about it!  I just hope I don't get it since we are going home for the wedding that I'm standing up in as the Matron of Honor!  That would suck!

    Poor thing! Glad you got it checked out though before it got worse! Good luck on your trip and I hope your LO starts feeling better soon!

    Oh no! I hope she gets better soon. Good job mama for not waiting to take her to the pedi.

    That's crazy! I got strep awhile back and my pedi told me its really rare for infants to get it because their tonsils aren't developed yet. Hope LO feels better!

    This! I have read that it is uncommon for babies to get strep as well.
