I see all these finished baby's rooms makes me want to kick DH in the butt! He decided that he was going to COMPLETELY gut the baby's room. And when I say gut I mean, sheetrock off the walls and ceiling. He torn down the closet and everything. I mean its going to be fabulous when its done. I just wish he decided to do this sooner. I know we have some time before she gets here. But I'm completely freaking! Anybody else not even close to finishing or just starting to tackle the baby's room?
Re: All these nearly finished nurseries makes me sad
We are in a very similar situation. This weekend we are empting most of the house so that painters can come in and then carpet after that. We haven't touched what will be the nursery - other then to look in and dream of what it will look like one day!
It seems like you'll never be ready, but I'm sure it will all come together!
Good luck!

We are in the process of cleaning out the room. It was being used for storage. We bought the paint, so as soon as I get everything out I can start that. Then I need to shampoo the carpet. Our crib and changing table are at my parents house in boxes. Eventually I will get this done.
I think some people are just very excited and anxious to get going that they start and finish the room by the time they're 20 weeks!
With that said, it's perfectly normal to wait until 8 months or so to get started b/c in all reality, the baby is most likely not going to be in there until he or she is at least a month old. (Of course, I'm also trying to tell myself this as I have recurring dreams that the baby is born and nothing is done) lol
Breastfeeding and pregnant!

DH and I finally cleaned out the garage today. We are having a garage sale this Saturday. Wish me luck as I have tons of stuff to get rid of. Baby's room is almost done, but I started early as I knew we would be tacking other projects. We are closing on a 2nd house this week and will remodel that before renting it out. Lots of work ahead of us ladies!!!
Make a pregnancy ticker
I can imagine how you feel! We have painted the nursery and assembled the crib and bought bedding but waiting on the rest of the furniture to come in before I do anything else. I still feel like I am behind ...need curtains, finish the closet, get the other odds and ends. I think once all the furniture finally gets here I will get my butt in gear with it.
Hopefully your DH will get the balling rolling...faster

Don't feel bad! With DD - she was early and when she arrived, we had just turned a loft area upstairs into a bedroom so it was only just the walls! DH was very sweet and had it all done by the time I got home (I was on bedrest in the hospital for a week before finally delivering at 34w) - so it can be done very quickly!!
For this one we are pretty much waiting to see what we have then will decorate afterwards! Really, the baby won't notice
Baby will be in a bassinet for a few weeks before we can hopefully transition DD out of her crib.
