And I'm super intimidated! I have NO idea when I'll be able to get DH to sit down with me... and frankly, I am a little worried about what he's going to say when he sees all of this! Yikes!
I know! I just gave DH one bit at a time, so he wouldn't realize how much work he was doing. Sneaky? Yes. Helpful for both of us? Totally.
Application approved Dec '11 Mar '12: Homestudy interrupted by change in Uganda requirements - where do we go from here? After searching and searching, back with Uganda but with our homestudy agency's program. Homestudy complete July 19 USCIS I-600A submitted July 20. Biometrics appointments arrived Aug 17; fingerprinted Aug 21; 171H received Sept 25th. On the wait list Oct 1st: #18. By Jan 25th, we're #13! Come home, baby A!
We went the other direction- we had the IL's keep DS overnight one Friday night and that next morning we got up, got donuts, made A LOT of coffee and sat down too ALL the paperwork. We knocked it out in one day and then each only had a small to-do checklist of calling doctors, scheduling fingerprints, etc.
I'm a huge nerd who loves paperwork, though. :P

After multiple m/c's, a MTHFR diagnosis and the Lord calling both of our hearts in the same direction, we're adopting! theluckiest
We were more like JWPBRIDE. Knocked most of it out all at once, except the doctor appts, which were scheduled but my dr had a 4 month wait. Even our biographies, we both just wrote sitting next to each other on our computers and then swapped to read each others when we were done. Some of your SW's have seemed pretty intense. I only spent two hours total with ours for the homestudy and my husband spent an extra hour with her when she actually "checked-out" our home. She said that only one of us needed to be there and I was at work, while my husband was able to work from home that day.
Failed Matches - December 2012, May 2013, December 2013
