While thinking about baby names all the time recently, I started thinking about the names of us moms or moms-to-be! Do you like your own name? I know lots of people who don't like their own name and I wonder which of our children are going to end up not liking their names either.
My name is Ashley and I love my name! Yes it was super popular and in the top 10 baby names for YEARS and I knew a lot of Ashleys growing up but it never bothered me. I think it's a pretty name and had a deserving spot in the top 10
kinda makes me rethink the names in the top 10 these days, maybe it wouldn't be so bad!

Lindsay.
I don't hate it but when I was a kid I tried to get people to call me by my middle name instead (Brooke).
I like my name ok - it's Melissa
My major problem with my name is everyone ends up just calling me Michelle.

Cara
I like my name, I have to spell it for people and correct pronunciation but it isn't crazy popular and it suits me.
I am Andrea, and I like my name for the most part. I liked that my name was not overly popular, and I never had another Andrea in my class. There would usually be one other one in my school, but never in my class. I think it is a pretty and feminine sounding name (although it is a mans name in Italy, and probably some other countries).
My only complaint is that there are too many ways to pronounce it. I get called every version, even by people that know me well. For that reason, I answer to nearly any name that starts with an A. My husbands biggest complaint with my name is that it is 3 syllables. He thinks that is just too much to say
His family has nicknamed me Ani.
My name is Lisa Marie
Everyone always asked if I was named after Elvis' daughter, which I wasnt. I dont mind it too much, but it is just too old fashioned for me. I dont know what Id prefer instead though, lol!
Aimee
Eh. I don't mind it. I'm named after Amie by Pure Prairie League. They just adjusted the spelling.
I used to hate my name. No one ever pronounced it correctly. It was always TAM-ara or Ta-mare-a. Then when I told them it's Ta-MAR-a they would say "But what about today?" Then crack up at their own dumb joke. I like my name now, but it's made me choose easy to pronounce names for my children.

I'm a Cayleigh and I love my name. I know people on this board can't stand it and say it doesn't age well, but I'm 25 and still just as happy with it. My only issue has been that EVERYONE spells it Kaley. Even as I'm saying "C", they are already writing "K". It doesn't make me wish I had a different name or spelling though; I love the way my name is spelled, and I do think it looks much better than Kaylee or Kaley or any of the other variations you see today. Technically I know it's the same name, but it doesn't seem the same to me. (I think it also helps that my dad is very very Irish, so it's not just a random trendy name that they chose. Although he did want it spelled Ceilidh!)
I did go through a phase where I wanted to be called by my middle name (Dawn), but I think it had more to do with being 8 and difficult than with not liking my first name.

My name is Lisa and I just always found it super boring. It was never a pretty name to me. I've never been a huge fan of my name.
I'm Aimee too, not named after the song though. I don't really care for it, just because nobody ever spells it correctly, even after I correct them. I wouldn't mind Amy though.
Yes and no.
My given formal name is Jacqueline Ann
I love it. I feel like it's a proper first name.
However, I've always been Jackie and that's just okay to me. I actually prefer when friends & family call me Jac.
My name is Meredith. I wasn't a HUGE fan growing up ... never thought it was very pretty. But, as I've gotten older, I have come to really like it (good job Mom and Dad!). Not too many Merediths in my town growing up, and it ages well.
I had the nickname Mere (pronounced Mare) ... SO happy my parents didn't opt for Merry. Uggh.

Crysta
No, not Crystal, just Crysta. Overall I do like it. I never had anyone else with my name (besides the Kristen's that were in my class). Obviously spelling has been a huge issue. I normally get Krista or Crystal.
I have a weird sibling paring with my brother being Alex.
I gave DD a "real name" that wasn't too popular, because I don't want her to be 1 of 1000 emma's or sophia's in her class.
