My DH and I are on 2 different planets for names. I like crazy, kind of out there names and he is really conservative. I like Atticus and Malachi for a boy, he likes John and Henry. I like Penelope and Elliana for a girl, he likes Ava and Brianna. So it should be an intresting journey finding something to agree on.

Yes, that is the correct pronunciation for Isla. Like the actress Isla Fisher.
Very pretty!! Just know that some of those names some people pronounce it phonetically so I was just curious!
My husband is so afriad that people will call her "izla" but I just remind him that she can correct them and they wont make the mistake again. I am a teacher and come across so many hard to pronounce names and always figure it out lol. It definitely is a little different, but I love it (especially since the little one was a cruise baby )

Hubby has vetoed most of my name choices, but we both seem to like Ezra Robbert (middle name after DH grandfather who recently past away) for a boy and Evalynn Marie (first name after my grandma Eva who past away a couple of years ago and middle name same as MIL and my mother) for a girl. We want to try and keep family names incorporated somehow.
We were going back and forth with names and I finally decided we should just wait until we know the sex! Mostly because I have so much trouble finding boy names I love. If it is a boy I will start thinking at week 20
Adeline Grace is our name for a girl. For a boy well .. Dh wants Vincent after hmself but Im not completely sold yet. We also like Connor, Owen, Noah and Jacob but thats becoming too popular, thanks Twilight! blech!
Girl will be either Susan Amelia or Amelia Susan (MIL is Susan), she will be called Amelia or Mia.
Boy is Calvin John (after Calvin & Hobbes, and John is a family name on both sides), will probably call him Cal. We had this name picked out about 4 years ago!

Savannah Joy for a girl. DH really thinks it is a girl and he is so excited now that we have settle on a name. Since we are team green it's nice to be settled on names for both.
Ethan Wayne for a boy (Wayne is a family name that goes back 3 generations.)
We decided pretty much the day we got our BFP. We were on our way to a wedding out of town, so that's what we talked about the whole time.
If it's a boy, Charles "Charlie" William
If it's a girl, June Katherine
We've always liked older names for boys, August, Oscar, and Cal were on our short list as well. William is my father's, paternal grandfather's, and both of DH's grandfather's name, so that was a no brainer. My mom's name is Julie, and we really like Julia, but we felt it was maybe a little too close, so we thought June would be a nice nod to her as well as allowing our possible DD to have her own identity as well, and Katherine is my middle name and my MIL 's name. I have a wonderful relationship with my MIL, so we wanted to honor her as well. We're team green, so one day DH will ask me how Charlie's doing and the next day it's June.

Thats not true. Isla is the spanish word for island and is pronounced eez-lah. Something to consider when asserting that yours is the "correct" pronunciation.

Good to knowI. It wasn't aimed towards you. I just know my husband jokes saying "Iz-La". Also, I don't think I would ever be confrontational to someone on a message board and with my emotions right now, I don't suggest you start.

We have pretty much agreed on Ashlynn Marie for a girl, I like Gavin Martin for a boy but DH doesn't like Gavin much at all.
