If you have been home study approved by one agency, but you can't use them anymore because they no longer have a domestic infant (Caucasian only) program, can you use another agency without having to go through the home study process again? In other words, is your home study good for any agency that you go to? Please let me know. Thanks
Like PP said, it depends on the agency. We had our homestudy done by a separate agency b/c our placing agency is out of state. When our homestudy caseworker was finishing the homestudy, she was in contact with the placing agency to make sure it had everything they needed.
TTC September 2010 thru October 2011 SA February 2011: Normal RE App. October 2011 - Recc. Clomid and IUI
Taking a break from TTC to pursue adoption
Met our 2 year old son in Russia July 2012! Court trip October 2012 Home November 24 2012!
Our homestudy agency will not be the same as our adoption agency because we will use an agency in the same state as the BM. We knew this going in based on our States laws, but I do know the homestudy needs to be done by the state you live in while the adoption does not. Hope that helps.
