I think...
Baby was breech at my u/s last weekend, and today my obgyn advised me to lay on the floor with my hips raised about a ruler's height about the ground. Basically just bring the hips above the heart, right?
I grabbed our couch cushions and made what seemed like a comfy perch for my rear, then laid back.
Welllll that hurt like hell. It hurt my back, and it hurt my lower abdomen. I laid in this way for about five minutes before I had my husband help me up, and then I had a bad headache for about 15 minutes.
What am I doing wrong? Would this work if I tried it on the bed?
Re: Flipping a breech baby...I'm doing it wrong
your baby still has time to rotate...i know some friends that their LO flipped around up until close to delivery.... Even if you did get your LO to flip today -he/she may rotate back...
I wouldnt stress about it as of yet...unless your doctor says otherwise.
My DS flipped completely on his own at 37 weeks - I did nothing to help.
If you want to do something - check out spinning babies - they have some tips that might help.
This I will try! Checking out the spinning babies site...
I wasn't too concerned this early on, but I absolutely do not want a cs.
But, this being said, I felt a foot in my ribs for the first time today, which was awesome. I pushed it out, and I could see her teeny foot sliding down the side of my belly before it tucked in. Coolest thing I've ever seen. So perhaps she's right ways round now. I have no idea.
You will know next time she gets hiccups. I feel them reaaaaaly low.
