If you've ever been laid off ...

how long did it take you to receive your last pay check?  I was laid off a week ago Thursday and still have no check.  Today would have been a pay day.  I guess I figured that since everything else was "final" last Thursday (dental, vision and life ins. terminated), that they would cut my check and send it to me right away.  Guess not!  I'm so freaking irritated.

    In Texas, I think they have 7 days to get your check to you when they terminate employment.  If you terminate, then you get it on your next payday.  They probably mailed it to you.

    In MI, you must receive your final paycheck by the next pay day.  If you didn't receive it on payday, I would call HR and find out what happened.  They may have also sent you a check instead of direct deposit.
