Anyone use FLIP diapers?

I've been researching and I think I have DH convinced to make the switch. I like the Flips I think.

How many covers and inserts do you have?

I figured these would be a good option because we can buy fewer covers and more inserts and this would be less expensive than AIO's - is that right or just wishful thinking?

I bought three covers with the buy 2 get one free sale since I don't know how they will work for LO. Everything I have researched says that every baby is different and the diapers all fit the babies differently. I didn't want to do a whole stash of one kind and have them not work for my LO. I am mixing up my stash with prefolds and covers, flips, fuzzibuns, AIO's and other random sale finds.

most days i get by with using 3 covers cuz she only poops about once per day. we use prefolds under our covers but go through about 6-8 per day. depends on how often you will do laundry too. I have 24 prefolds and NEVER run out when i wash every other day.

We have 3 covers and 9 Flip stay dray inserts, but also use some pockets during the day too. Having 3 inserts per cover seems to be a pretty good ratio.

I second the 3 inserts per cover rule. I exclusively use Flips, and I have 8 covers, 12 stay-dry inserts, and 6 prefolds. At night I double up with a stay-dry and hemp liner (I have 4 hemps). I get away with doing laundry every other day, and I rarely go through all my covers in that time. I could probably get away with 6 covers and EOD laundry.
