GTKY Question: Screen names

I've been curious about some of your screen names. How did you choose your screen name? What does it stand for/mean?

 

Mine is just a high school nickname. I had to add a number when I used it for my AOL IM account (remember those?) and I've used it as a screen name ever since.

    This is going to sound kind of stupid, but:

    I had a HUGE fibroid on my uterus (the size of a softball). I had to have it removed, obviously, and I got sick of saying the word, "fibroid," so I named it Walter. It was easier to talk in polite company about "Walter" than "my fibroid." What a nerd.

    I run (or used to before my appleseed made his/her appearance). Normally I'm "runnerchicki" but that handle was taken so rnrchick it was. Since we've been trying so long and were coming to the end of our journey, the plan was either to be preggers or I was running two marathons in the spring. I'm glad the universe chose this!!

    Mine is one I use on a running website.  In my case, it means "She is always running," in Spanish.  I teach in Spanish Immersion, and I love to run (although I haven't done a tough workout since we found out, and that makes me kind of sad...)!

    My knot name was Hetshup, but I didn't want people knowing that I was trying to have a baby. Plus, I can't figure out how to log in again. I was kinda a big deal.

     My name now is because I LOVE RuPaul's Drag Race, you don't even know.

    Mine is my dog's name- Sophia and the 1913 was the year my sorority was founded.  When I signed up for The Knot, I didnt think I would be an active poster so I just thought of something that would be easy for me to remember.  Now looking back I wish I had put a littel more thought in to it.

    Well, I'm doing a phd, I'm a wife and we're having a baby and I will graduate from the phd program in 2013! Simple :)

    Then: Fraternal twins born at 26 weeks in 1983. Me: 640 grams. Brother: 840 grams. Family kept watch in the NICU for 5 months before being allowed to go home. On oxygen for a year and a half after being released.
    Now: Me: PhD student and married. Brother: Lawyer and married.
    Dad's wedding speech: Thank you to all the family who stood watch and prayed for our children's survival. Well now the little scrawny chicken is married. Who would've thought? (Thanks dad for making me laugh and cry at the same time).

    I love the Jack Layton quote. We lost a great politician (and that gives away where I'm from!)

    Mine is a combination of part of my maiden name and the first initial of my first and middle name.  It was a screen name my college had assigned me and it's always kind of stuck with me.
    Together since April 2004.  Married since June 19th, 2010.
     BFP #1: January 31st 2012: CP. 
     BFP #2: June 1st 2012, Due:2/8/13. Avery was born via unplanned c section on 2/13/13. 
     BFP #3: Sept. 25th, 2014. Due: 6/5/15.  MMC on 10/23/14. Confirmed complete molar pregnancy per D&C 10/29/14, 
    HCG officially negative 12/10/14.  Benched until June 2015.

    I used the name PinkLeopard because that's the name of the blog I used to actively work on.  I shared a lot of DIY projects and makeup tips/reviews.  Then work life got busier and I put my blog.  I LOVE leopard print, and my favorite color is pink, hence pinkleopard, and the number was just easy to remember.

    My screen name is one that I used to use with a  MSN group. I came about because I had a New Beetle - hence the "bug" part.  Even though I no longer have the beetle, the bug part stuck. My DH still has me in his cell phone as "bug".

    I actually changed mine recently! I used to have an old AIM name that I had on TheKnot for years... then when I started over here, I didn't want Knot people to know I was pregnant.... which was a good choice, since I recognize someone over here from my old board :)

    my new name is clearly because I'm a Harry Potter nerd and was sorted into Ravenclaw on Pottermore :) 

    BFP #1 - Mango - 6/11/12, EDD 2/22/12 Natural MC 7/15/12
    BFP #2 - Nacho - 10/14/12, EDD 6/20/13, MMC 8 weeks, D&C 11/16/12
    All testing shows both H and I are perfectly normal. Baby Nacho had triploidy.
