My mom is nannying for us and she wants a carrier. We use a Beco Butterfly II, ring sling, and Moby but they're all too complicated for her so she wants an "old-style easy one like when you were little." I have no idea what she is talking about but I am presuming it's some kind of dangling seat one. Are there any safe and simple carriers that are cheap (cheap because I don't suspect she actually will ever use it).

Re: Any very, very simple structured carriers?
Francesca Pearl is here! Josephine Hope is almost 3!
I guess by simple I mean easy to put on but also least potential for user-error. I definitely wouldn't be comfortable with her using a ring sling for that factor. I really think she'd not be able to wear that one safely.
I don't find the Beco very easy for someone to put on solo - I sometimes have to have my husband help me adjust it when I put it on.
Hmmm will have to look into a Bjorn. What about those little Infantino carriers?

The bjorn is superior to the infantino ones, and if you go the used route it will likely be the same cost as an infantino one. I agree that over 15lbs it does get uncomfortable, but unless she's wearing LO for long periods of time it really won't be an issue.
If she is planning on wearing your LO for an extended period, I would definitely try to get her into something like an ergo/beco to save her from back pain.
My mom used a Gerry Carrier with me and my brother when we were little! We have a ton of carriers, and my mom is most comfortable with my Babyhawk.
