It's a personal choice really... and depends on how much money you want to spend. In reality they are both safe and meet the same standards, ones just a little more squishy.
I personally have the Boulevard (didnt pay $200+) but I figured for the grandparents cars DD didnt need the nice cushy padded seat (shes with them maybe twice a week). She wont be in it all the time like she is in mine.
Thanks! This would be for DH's car, which she is in the most. So, her primary carseat. The benefit of the others are they are up to 70 pounds....but how often do they stay in the seat up to the weight limit? LO is 20 pounds now and in a Snugride 32....so she has 12 more pounds to go! But we are still thinking of moving her to a convertible seat. You know? What do you think? Thanks again for your help!

If its her primary seat I would go with more squish. But the price difference is huge. I suggest going into the store and comparing the two in person. Sometimes there isnt a huge difference and the Roundabout might be good for you.
I agree that kids usually aren't in the convertibles until 70 lbs. I know we will get DD the high back booster once she can start using the seat belt and I'm sure she'll be far from 70 lbs at that point (I cant imagine her gaining 50 lbs before age 5-6ish).
We also had the Snugride 32 but moved her to the convertible around 9 months. She hated the carrier and is much happier in the bigger seat.
Check Albee Baby for the Boulevard. They usually have good prices. We've bought two from there recently and they have free shipping and usually arrives within 3-4 days.
BFP 1/8/10, MC 1/15/10 | BFP 3/20/10, MC 6/24/10 | BFP 12/13/10...EDD 8/22/11...DD born 6/7/11 @ 29 weeks 1 day
Thanks! I think they are the ones who have it for $219. I just bought one Roundabout. If we like it, we'll get another. If we don't like it as much, I"ll get a Boulevard for DH's car instead.
Thanks for the help!

Yeah they went pretty fast. The pink sold out while I was still hemming and hawing, and then the onyx did too....luckily I liked Silverlake the best so I got one of those. And then DH emailed to say he did, too! Ha! I was able to cancel one of the orders. I'm sure they'll go on sale again, either on BRU or Amazon or albeebaby, b/c they are coming out with the new models and will want to sell all the old ones off.

Two things... have the Roundabout for our primary carseat and love it. It is frequently a "daily deal" on Target's website for around $100 so keep an eye out if you are interested but missed this one.
Second, our back up is the cheap-o one from Walmart. It is so easy to use and got fantastic safety reviews. I think it was $40. Cosco Scenara? Something like that.
