Pregnant after a Loss

4am internal clock

For some annoying reason my body wakes up at 4 am each night, why I have no idea but its making me tired. I don't have to pee, I am thirsty at times so I take  few sips of my water but then I have trouble getting back to sleep. Just a vent as I can tell today is going to be a challenging work day, my brain feels like it should still be asleep.

  • I feel you. Mine has been set to 430 this week. Ridiculous, then I have to fight sleep all day at work.

  • I actually had this before getting pregnant and had a hard time going back to sleep, it was awful because then you are tired the whole next day. Now that I am pregnant, I wake up throughout the night to pee but I don't have too much trouble getting back to sleep. Hope this is just a phase you are going through!

  • WEIRD! I am a very heavy sleeper and I typically never wake up at night and love sleeping late in the morning. This week I am waking up at 4/4:30 every morning and i'm having a hard time falling back asleep also. I have been waking around 2:00 to pee but i'm falling asleep after that. I have been exhausted as a result!!! I thought it was my nerves but maybe it is pregnancy related...

  • Heh I have a completely different problem, my DHs internal clock usually wakes him up around 5 (his alarm goes of at 5:15) so on weekends when he tries to sleep in he starts tossing and turning shortly after 5 and I kick him out of bed so I can sleep. The last several days he's been off and he starts tossing and turning at 3!! I want to kill him! Ugh doesn't he know I'm more exhausted than normal? Fortunatly we have another bedroom that he can go to, but I try to give him a chance to settle down and let him toss and turn for an hour before I finally kick him out. At that point I'm usually so awake that I don't really get much more sleep at that point. So frustrating!
