Call me weird mommies but I am a mom of a baby boy born 12/04/11 and the 1st Birthday has popped n my head a time or two

I don't know why I am so excited but i'm thinking it's because Maximilian is our first boy ever and our girl's r teenagers already (U heard me right! lol) I'm a party planning freak and love every minute about doing it! So my question to you is....... R u planning (is it n ur head) already OR R U saying "Nah the baby wont remember." What's on ur mind????? Cake

The only thing on my mind is that her party will be on her birthdate. The party might be large or small. It will be at our home. It will be family only. My feelings won't be hurt if people cannot make it due to other holiday season plans. I will be annoyed if people ask us to have the party at a more convenient time. I am thinking a Beatrix Potter theme. That's all I know for now.

My H is on board with it all. For DS we are thinking either the (Not so) Scary monsters or Monkeys. Both have cute Ideas. My DD turns 3 in Jan and we are doing a mix of yo gabba gabba and zoobomafo(sp?) She is picking all of the stuff for it and its been a blast lol

Oh man that's right.....Sad to say I totally forgot that people will have "plans" around that month.Max's birthday is 12/4. I havent heard of Beatrix Potter,i'll look it up though! How exciting. U know what I get annoyed with????????? Tons of people tell em "Why have one he wont remember?!" Gosh that get's to me lol!

AWWWWW That will be so cute! Do u live in Colorado????? I'm thinking it's gonna be a blizzard at that time and it's so hard to have a party inside with kids and all knowing that their limited on what they can do or where they can go.Another thing is is that we dont have babies n the family! Their all 7 and up.Not to sure if it's gonna be big or small yet. Didnt think it would be this hard to plan lol.

i bookmark ideas here & there. i want to do a winter one-dudrland theme. i want to have one of those candy tables for the kids. i am going to do ornaments with her picture in them as the favor. that is all i know so far LOL.

I cant imagone not having a birthday for him.I just gotta think of a theme and stick to it! I change it every week! LOL

Monkey theme is so precious! I check it out last night to soooo many cute things and pinterest i'm n love with! You'll be surprised on what u find. I change it all the time.One day I want this and one day I wnt that it's to hard to pick a theme and stick with it!

I know where I will have her party. DH is a GM at a family sports restaurant here and his has a party room. So we will have it there. I can bring my food if I want or use their food at a very discounted rate. Theme I don't really know. Probably something with animals or zoo animal because she loves animals. I am already Planning what presents I want to get her.

Yes, it will be DD, DH the dog, and I. We will all wear party hats (dog included) and there will be a small smash cake that I plan on baking. We will all sing happy birthday then I will take lots of pictures. After cake, she will most likely need a tubby and then bed...I have been planning and researching this for quite sometime.

I started thinking about it last week while visiting my parents. We'll be keeping it simple...just our families and the great grandmas.

As far as the party goes, we've already set a date because that time of year gets so crazy. But that's all we've done. I think I'll do some sort of snowflake theme, but it won't be overboard.

My DH is looking forward to the party more than I am...he can't wait to give LO his first tastes of cake and ice cream!

This. Although I am more just browsing ideas and not really planning yet. We have tons of friends/family in the area so it is probably going to be a huge party (at least 50 people I am thinking...although it will probably be Dec. 15th and some may be out of town).

We're not having a big party. We will have a celebration at our house with family. Maybe some decorations, definitely a cake and presents. Just something small. I think having a huge event for a baby is kind of silly, but that's just my own opinion.

We'll do bigger parties when she's older. Maybe starting with 4 or 5.

Yes, we are starting to talk about it. We have a big invite list so we want to make sure the venue will hold a lot of people. Good thing this list wont be for every year.

We are thinking in January so B doesnt get lost in the mix of the holidays.

Yes, even if we were back in Texas, I would keep it to a low key party with close family. I think sometimes, in all the craziness people tend to try to out do each other. I see it all the time on FB with old high school friends.

KIsses to the baby hes a doll! Like I said in the past posts i'm new at being a mom especially to a baby boy!!!! So far i'm having the time of my life! How's the weather out there around that time? Living n Colorado that's the blizzard season so having it inside is a damper.Everyone n the house,kids running around and limiting how many people to invite without hurting feelings. Glad u emialed n! My husbands side is big BUT their all older no kids! My family lives n California so it's just my parents and brother out here.Lots of work friends though.We have 2 girls 12 and going on 14 soon. Wel always throw them a party and trust me I love doing it.The details always gets to me! hehe. Now that their older their not wanting anything for the past 2 years.With Max being our first boy im n hehavqen with everything I see! Let's hope whatever we choose to do it'll all come together and work out! lol
