I came across a NIP Goodmama on Spots Corner for a reasonable price so I scooped it up. And I have to say: I like it! It's not fully prepped yet but its super soft and fits well. Nice daytime fitted. And I found it interesting that it's one-size but doesn't have any rise snaps. So thats cool. Do people here use these? I never see them mentioned. Also I noticed that prices really vary even on her website. Is this really only b/c of the outer fabric? Seems like other diaper makers charge the same regardless of the fabric. Is there some "designer fabric" correlation that I'm missing?
Re: Goodmama
The price variation is because she's running an over complicated process where people can find fabric, gather a group, and have gms made from that fabric. So there's the base price of $35 plus the cost of the fabric from the group.
I use them mostly for a daytime fitted diapers, with an added doubler. I love the fit.
Plus, there is a foldover rise on GM to make them a OS diaper. Fold the front down and use the inside snaps for smaller babies. We did this until our LO was about 12 months and 20 lbs.
Ah! That explains it. Okay, I figured there was some fabric calculation involved but I couldn't figure it out.
The fit is awesome, right? Before I started cding this was one diaper I told myself I'd never buy b/c of the hype and expense. But now that I've used one...
I might see if I can scoop up some more. They are crazy soft. And the fold-down rise stays in place really well (I have some other diapers with a fold down rise but they are too bulky for it to work well).
Where the heck do you live that you come across diapers at a yard sale?
I want to move there!
Sorry, it was a cloth diaper yard sale. But maybe if you lived somewhere like Portlandia it could happen!

This is a fairly passe assessment since the GM craze has been dead for months. These are decent fitteds but aren't as absorbent as I'd like so I reach for my other fitteds first.
I'm also sick of all of the CS shenanigans so won't buy anymore either.
