XP: how to make a harness a 5 point harness??

My mom bought a stroller to use with LO when she watches her occasionally and it is only a lap (3 point?) harness.  Of course she's used it already slit can't be returned, but is there anyway to make int a 5 point harness by buying something??

  • I don't think so.  But I don't see a problem, I've used a cheap stroller with the twins, and it was only a 3point and I felt that they were secure, when buckled in tightly.  Even if she leans over a bit, if she's buckled in, there shouldn't be any problems.

I don't know how you'd make a 5 point harness without ruining the stroller, and making a hole somewhere...but I could be wrong.

  • I don't think there's a way, but I think your kiddo will be fine. DS's umbrella stroller has a 5 point, but I've unclipped the shoulder straps and just use the straps around his waist.

  • Not sure. But once DS hit 9-10 months all we ended up using was just the lap belt & not the shoulder straps. The bugged him anyways.

  • It should be fine, but it just depends on your DD. DS is a crazy man and would probably find a way out if we didn't have a 5point strapping him in. Your DD may just enjoy being there and it wont be an issue. Id' say just let you mom know to keep an eye on her as far as if she's trying to lean or wiggle her way out and then you'll need to do something, but for now, im sure it's fine!
