Small red dots on heels

Today I noticed two red dots on one heel and one red dot on the other.  They aren't raised and she isn't scratching them, so it doesn't look like a rash.  She tends to bang her feet a lot when changing and hits the dresser, so I think it's a bruise.  But they aren't black and blue.  I'm going to call the ped. tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this and what it turned out to be.  I'm hoping she didn't cause a splinter fracture in her heel.  Thanks!

  • Did she have a slight temp a couple of days ago? It may be the beginnings of HFMD. I hope it isn't and I hope the pedi has a more definite answer.

  • there was a very slight temp about a week ago.  I hope it's not HFMD though it's better than bone fractures.

Honestly, I'm sure it's nothing.  DD always has a variety of bumps, rashy looking marks, dry skin, etc. at any given time.

My LO has HFMD right now.  The rash is hardly noticable, but she did have a fever about a week agao and the Dr confirmed HFMD yesterday.

It could be the same for your LO.

It's not really a big deal, you just have to let it pass.
