Re: In serious pain down there
Hi there! The only thing I can think of is that maybe due to a possible UTI or yeast infection, you might not have been as "ready" as normal and you have microscopic tears in your vault from the sex. That would explain the burning as well. Just a guess. :-) HTH and I hope it's nothing serious!
This. And I hope you feel better soon! These are miserable.

I agree that it sounds like a UTI. But do NOT drink cranberry juice if it is a UTI. All that will do is irritate it further. Cranberry juice is extremely acidic and will irritate your system further. The reason why people think cranberry juice is a remedy is because cranberries can help prevent the bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall. If you already have an infection, you are past prevention -- water is best to flush out your system. And definitely get to the doctor for antibiotics. Hope you feel better soon.
ETA: I just read your response that came in the same time I was writing. I was hoping that you were really asking for advice & not just asking if you might be pregnant. Did you pee in a cup at Right Time?

I don't fully believe you, but it doesn't really matter. I would still guess it's some sort of infection. I hope you get it sorted out with your regular doctor. Good luck.

...and why start the ENTIRE thread with 8DPO....? That wouldn't really matter if it was a UTI or yeast infection, at least not in the diagnostic sense.
I offered advice, so I guess you are thanking me too. You are welcome.
I included the part about DPO because I've read that yeast infections are common before your period. I thought someone might say something like "It's common to still feel itchy and it'll ease when your hormones change with your period". Just looking for advice.
FYI: I called my ob and for anyone who is interested...she said the 1 or 3 day treatments can still take the full 7-10 days to treat (just like Monistat 7). It's just less days that you have to bother with the medicine. In case that helps anyone in a similar situation. Thanks again.
