I've been mostly EPing (BF for first AM feeding only) for a few weeks. I weigh DD before and after her first feeding so I know how much she gets. I try to pump 7 times in addition to her nursing session, but a lot of times I only squeeze in 6. I'm producing about 20-22 oz, and DD is eating 25-26 oz. I'm not interested in trying to increase my supply anymore. I do want to protect what I do have for as long as possible. When do you think it would be okay for me to drop a pump? It would relieve a lot of stress if I could shoot for 6 pumps instead of 7. I feel like I could keep that schedule up for a long time. 5 pumps sounds like a dream. I'm thinking I might go to that around 6 months. Do you think that sounds doable or do you think I should stick with more pumps for the duration since my supply is a tiny bit low?

I pump a minimum of 20 minutes, often 25-30. I'm just a slow pumper. I use a Medela Lactina at home (Freestyle when I'm out and about), so it's not a pump issue.
I think I'll try to stick with pushing for 8 sessions (7pumps plus 1 BF) for the next couple weeks to get us past 3 months. After that, I'll drop to 7.
