Oh, lol, didn't realize that. It's alter ego.  When someone makes up a screen name to troll, start drama, or say stuff they are too chicken to say under their actual screen name.

Lol, I had a grilled cheese and tomato sandwich...nothing else seemed appealing and I polished off the chocolate cake last night so I could not have that with my coffee...

  • Sometimes I let my daughter watch TV.

  • I get defensive when DH and I talk about our discipline plans for the future. I get so mad at him like, "Nobody's going to touch my baby!". But it's his father. Idk why I get so defensive. My mother was the disciplinarian in my family. Maybe that has something to do with it.

  • Last night the baby wouldn't go back to sleep after he woke up an after only an hour.  I brought him out to nurse him while DH and I watched something on Hulu.  Everytime I giggled or laughed DS would spook and do the "ugly cry" (he was that tired!).  DH didn't believe me that it was the laughing that made him cry.  DH dared me to do it again when the baby was almost asleep.  I did.  DS was seriously upset by my laughing and it only made us laugh even more bc it was so ridiculous.  Fortunately I put DS to bed right after I calmed him and he slept like a champ until 5am.

  • I'm wearing a regular "pre-baby" bra for the first time today since December 3rd, it feels so great! I've had to wear grandma bras since he was born and I was EPing because I was getting clogged ducts like crazy so no underwire and I needed tons of support, they were NOT pretty. Just one more step back to my normal self, yay!

DH and I tried to discuss thoughts for how to handle temper tantrums, discipline and things like that and couldn't decide how we'd handle things until we're actually in the situation. I want to see what DS's personality is like before I make that decision. I was very afraid of authority as a child and therefore literally never did anything wrong so I'm kind of hoping DS takes after me in that respect and we never have to deal with it...I know, I know.

  • We are visiting my parents this week and they offered to watch LO while DH and I went out last night for our first date night since she was born. We had fancy plans but nothing was going right, so we scrapped our plans, picked up a pizza, and drove out to the point in my hometown where all the teenagers go "parking." We munched on pizza, laughed, and listened to 80's hair bands, all before getting it on in the back of our SUV. We came home after midnight, LO was in bed and we told my parents we did the movie/dinner thing.

It was the best thing we've done for our marriage in a long time and we felt so scandalous! DH and I have been like giggly teenagers all morning but last night was the first night I haven't put DD down for bed and I feel so guilty now!

I'm beyond thrilled BIL and his GF broke up this week. I usually get along with most people, but i was so sick of playing nice to her after she...

    A) got mad at me for *gasp* naming my daughter Emma ( its so unique), but apparently this was her future daughter's name and I stole it (we had no idea of this until we announced DD's name)

    B) got mad at me for having fb pictures of my wedding that had group shots of BIL dancing  with an ex girlfriend...she actually unfriended me on fb over it, it was quite highlarious...

    C)  At a recent wedding we all were at in May, told me only cheap people wear fake jewellery (which I was wearing), she only wears real jewellery...

I could go on and on...but because she was dating BIL, I took the higher road, plastered a fake smile on my face and endured it.

I let DS watch his morning cartoon shows all the time, and find myself singing the Doc McStuffins theme song during the day lol.  He's obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and I swear he'd trade me in for the real Mickey any day haha.  I bought him a big Mickey stuffed animal and showed it to him for the first time while the show was on...he kept looking back and forth between the two and smiling, it was adorable :)

  • I am really down today. Last night I asked DH to be quiet and not wake up the baby. I did it in a jokey way, because I say it all the time. DH is really a loud person! When I asked him to be quiet, he deliberately made a loud noise and gave me a nasty look. Then we got in an argument. He told me that "all I do" is nag and he doesn't feel welcome in his own home--all because I ask him to be quiet all the time.

This really bummed me out because I had spent the day pulling weeds in in beloved garden as a surprise, made lasagna to welcome him home, cut him a slice of the ice cream cake that I baked for him, cleaned the house, and took care of our baby all day. Yeah...all I do is nag, huh?

I feel like crying today, and it sucks because LO is so happy and it isn't fair to him. :(

Woops...I posted this and forgot to do it as a quote:

I'm sorry, that wasn't very nice of him to say!  I bet he was having a bad day himself because his reaction sounds very childish...not an excuse for how he hurt your feelings, but we all have bad days.  Try not to let it get you down today, and then talk to him when he gets home tonight...explaining it just the way you did to us.  Hopefully he's had the day to reflect on what he did, and he'll come home with a nice aplogy for you.  If not, eat the rest of the cake without him Big Smile

  • When we had our U/S and found out we were having a boy, we only told our immediate family members that evening. I had a planned brunch with my best friend the next day and was so excited to tell her in person and text all my other gf's to let them know the news. Well, my little sister put a post on FB immediately after I hung up with her that night and in turn, all my friends and cousins, etc found out thru her on FB. I told her that I had only notified immediate family so far. I am still bitter about it to this day....fast forward, my little sis is preggo and her U/S is today. She posted on FB that she's super excited to find out the baby's sex. I childishly wrote that I better be the first one she calls so I can have the chance to post it on FB before she has a chance to tell any of her friends.

She wrote back that she still feels really bad about that and wouldn't even be mad since she did that to me and totally wasn't thinking when she did it. I know I shouldn't have made her feel bad on this exciting day for her but I think she can really now appreciate how thoughtless and hurtful that was. I'm a horrible person.

And I know this is getting long, but if feels good to confess...I really hope she is having a girl for two reasons. 1) I can't stand her D-bag BF and I would rather she have a little "her" than a little "him." And 2) If she has a girl, then between her winter baby girl and my cousin's summer baby girl, I would be set for baby clothes if I ever had a girl in the near future! Again, horrible, I know.

ccip - better to get rid of a nasty girlfriend than have to divorce her out of the fam.  Sounds like you dodged a bullet.

  • My daughters sleep pattern is 10pm to 10 am (waking to eat 2-3 times most nights) so I use it as my excuse to sleep in!  I actually have a clean house and happy baby so who cares if I dont get up before then?!

  • I am conducting an experiment of sorts on my husband.  He refuses to put his dirty laundry in the basket in our room.  Instead, he throws it on the floor in the living room or the floor on his side of the bed.  I have only been washing the clothes in the basket since Monday.  Eventually he will run out of clean work clothes, socks, etc. I said I wasn't going to run around picking up his clothes from all over the house.  Wonder how long until he figures out that I meant it.  My guess is 2 weeks+.

I did this with DH work clothes. Once he was out of clothes, instead of washing any, he wore his long sleeve shirt and long pants out side on a warm day. Oh, and wool socks!

I am insanely jealous of the moms on here that seem to "do it all." I know the grass is always greener... But I try to spend DDs awake times with her so I can stimulate her (my mothers advise), work on sitting up, reading to her, tummy time, etc and still keep my house cleaning up and cook dinner. Add in working PT and mommy needs a house keeper and a vacation.

My house is trashed but DD loves me so it's worth it. And DH has never starved. :)

  • Let's see. I have been feeling like a crappy parent this week for spending so much time on my phone. I need to make some changes to my screen habits. I have had a lonely week. I had no interest in taking the Edinburgh postnatal screening questionnaire at the nurses visit because I am sure my score would have warranted discussion. I am not depressed at all. My period is due so I cannot bring up any of the things I need my husband to help with because he might think I'm all DAY28 as opposed to sincere.

  • I get home from work at 4:30 and pump, clean and then go get DD from the sitter.  I get her at 5:00, so it's only a half hour.  I feel so guilty not going straight to get her, but this way I can get some stuff done quickly around the house.  I feel much calmer when my house is straightened and then I can focus on DD and play.  I know I sound awful.

Omg do not feel bad. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking a little time for yourself every day.

When my husband gets home, all I want to do is give him the baby so I can have some alone time to myself. I don't need much, just a little break. It helps me keep my sanity.
