We had a variety. The big cake was chocolate whit whipped cream frosting and the cupcakes had butter cream frosting and were chocolate and vanilla. Gabe's smash cake was white.

Williams birthday is J's birthday so we're doing Shaun the sheep for the big cake & Timmy for Williams smash cake. I think they'll both be chocolate with chocolate frosting & then marshmallows/frosting to do the sheep look. The kids are way too excited about this & I hope I can pull it off. Its their favorite cartoon to all watch together.

I'm making her a giant cupcake as her smash cake. It will be a vanilla butter cake (kind of pound cakey) with raspberry whipped cream frosting and fresh raspberries between the layers. I will dye the cake pink, and I also found some glitter frosting at the store.

We're getting a DQ Cake! Mine makes them in cupcake form which is nice. Less space, less mess.

If not that a carrot cake from a local baker that is amazing!

H could take or leave regular cake and I downright hate it has does my family...so nothing too exciting in the cake department here. At least with DQ cake I know people like it, will eat it and it'll be gone.

I want to do cream cheese frosting, haven't decided what kind of cake yet. MIL suggested carrot cake but I feel like that's too EXPECTED with the cr. ch. frosting. I want to be UNEXPECTED. Hahahaaa.

I think I am going to do cupcakes actually. I hate cutting cake slices. So messy, need plates and forks, don't know how big or small to cut.... Cupcakes are easier.

What if you did some sort of vanilla/sweet cream/cinnamon cake? Sorta like a cinnamon bun, but cake like? Everyone loves cinnamon buns with cream cheese frosting. I bet you could swing that.

THAT is what I'm talking about! Great idea! I love red velvet too....but (TMI) it comes out the same color it goes in and always scares me to death. I was thinking of some sort of applesauce/spice cake but I like the cinnamon buns idea a lot!

For Dylan's smash cake I'm making chocolate cake with chocolate pudding in the middle. I want it to be messy and disgusting when he digs into it I'm putting fondant on the outside And decorating it with an under the sea theme.

For everyone else I'm making vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing and under the sea fondant creatures on top.

I'm from South Jersey, there is another girl in this group from Media. We go to Iron Hill and Victory a couple times a year. My husband has made me a beer snob.

Yeah, we live in Phoenix now...My husband has also made me a beer snob. Do you have a favorite beer? Mine is pretty much anything Chimay...Or Unibroue. I love La Fin du Monde.

Argh, it is 10am and I am wanting a beer now.

I'm a dark beer girl. My favorites are Founders Breakfast Stout and right now I'm digging this Russian Imperial Stout I just had the other night. I'm also in love with Breckenridge Vanilla Porter and Victory's Storm King.

I've never really liked beer, but the dark ones don't really taste like beer to me. Most people think I'm nuts when I say this.

My husband loves Chimay and pretty much any Belgium beer you put in front of me. We'll go to Eulogy in Old City and spend a fortune on 4 beers, but it's totally worth it.

I am making mini oatmeal chocolate chip cakes topped with whipped cream to look like ice cream cones, ice cream cone cakes (probably funfetti) and we are having ice cream. Notice a theme? We're having an ice cream party.
