CP: Talk to me about your rolling (or not) baby

Hi all! I am just curious, what type of rolling is going on with your babies. DS has been rolling for a good month (belly to back) but only on and off. He has finally conquered the skill and can roll whenever he wants. However, he can't roll back to belly and this means I have to constantly flip him at night! (He's a belly sleeper) I am wondering if a lot of your babies flip back to belly, I am hoping this comes soon after...[Poll]

  • No rolling yet, be he's so close from back to belly.  He doesn't even try belly to back.  We're belly sleepers too and yeah, that would suck if he could roll belly to back because I know I'd have to go flip him all night too.

I think he's going to start rolling pretty soon, belly to back. He gets halfway and then can't get his arm out of the way. He rolls onto his side from his back, too, but again, only halfway.

Kyle did this, and hed end up pushing himself in circles trying to pry his arm out from under him lol Sad but really funny

  • He rolls belly to back, but barely ever actually does it. He's only rolled back to belly once while he was napping and it made him so mad!

  • I put no rolling yet, but really she has rolled one time.  But it was in the middle of the night accidentally, and she shows no desire to do it again.  She used to turn on her side a bunch, but she's pretty much stopped that too, so she just seems completely uninterested.

  • IT HAPPENED SO FAST! Literally, last Friday I was telling someone that I was beginning to think that LO would never roll over on his own. I must?ve spoken too soon! He is rolling over all over the place! It?s definitely neat, but it scares the crap out of me, can?t leave him alone to run to the bathroom anymore!

  • DD has been rolling from belly to back since two months, but over the last two weeks or so she has been doing it way more frequently.  Last night she rolled back to belly for the first time.  It probably took her at least 5 minutes because she couldn't get her arm out, but she was determined and it was so cute!  I hope she gets better at it because as pp's said she's a belly sleeper and cries bloody murder when she's  on her back.

  • DS has been rolling from belly to back for a little over a month. He just started rolling back to belly about 3 days ago (before that he was rolling 3/4 of the way but couldn't get his arm underneath him out of the way). Now he flips to his belly every night while sleeping.
  • DD can roll both ways, but has only rolled belly to back maybe 5 times. She rolls back to belly all the time.

  • Belly to back for the first time on Father's Day.  My dad and I were the first ones to witness it, and it was right after I told my dad that Cole seems to have no motivation to roll.  Guess he wanted to show me up.
  • I chose SS because he's rolled both ways but only one time each way. He hasn't even tried since then. I know he CAN do it, he just won't. He's totally content chillin' on his back or his stomach for as long as I leave him there.

  • DD is very close to rolling from back to tummy but she's quite not there yet. She absolutely HATES tummy time so God knows when she'd conquer rolling from tummy to back. I make sure she gets enough physical time so I'm not worried if it takes her longer to reach this milestone. I feel if it were up to her she'd start walkin ASAP. She loves to stand up and mimick walking!
