So for almost my entire pregnancy I've had a thin watery, clear discharge. From what I've read about normal discharge during pregnancy it's usually mucousy or like snot and white in color. At my us a few weeks ago I was told my amniotic fluid was on the low end of normal at 10.2. So I'm just now thinking could I be leaking amniotic fluid? Or is this just normal discharge?
Re: tmi-discharge?
I think it would be nearly impossible for any of us to diagnose whether or not it is amniotic fluid without visually seeing it. Plus, I am no expert on the difference between the two. If you're really worried talk to your doctor about it but from what you say it doesn't sound like the ultrasound tech was super worried so maybe it is okay . . . remember that the low end of normal is still normal . . . "normal' is just an average, so there is going to be at least some variation in every woman and every pregnancy right? Even so, bring it up at your next appt. so you can know for sure and have your fears eased.
On another note, I agree with PP . . . congrats on the double digits!!!
Thank you! I knew it was coming up but didn't realize tomorrow I'm in the double digits. Yeah!
i don't know if you are leaking fluid, but i would discuss it with your doctor.
my sil's was losing fluid at the end of her pregnancy with her last two babies and it wasn't a big deal... she just had to go for weekly sonograms so they could monitor it and she delivered both babies about a month early and both were perfectly healthy.
?i know everyone's pregnancy is different, but i would discuss all of this with your doctor and what it would mean if you are losing fluid and what precautions you might have to take?

Mine is all over the board, sometimes watery and sometimes thicker.
If it has no smell, then it could be amniotic fluid and it is worth talking to your doctor about it. ?
