Best breast pads??

What do you think is the "best" breast pad, and why?  I liked the thickness of Johsnon's last time because it was January, and my nipples felt like they were going to freeze off every time I stepped outside.  This time, baby #2 is due in September, so I won't have that issue.  I'm about a 34 D (ish?), so size doesn't matter as much to me.  None of them seemed too big/small... I just can't decide which to get, lol!

I have a few sets of cloth ones as backups, but like using the disposables during the early/heavy/spraying stage!

Thanks!! Smile

  • I have been using Lili's Pads. There are silicone pads but are supposed to be good for teh nipples. Plus you just wash and use again. The are about 25.00 but so worth it because you don't have to throw them away and use more!

  • I've been happy with the Lasinoh disposable pads. If I'd known how much leaking I'd have this time and how long I'd need to use them (still using them 24/7), I would have looked into washable ones.

  • I still like Johnson's best. I feel like I sweat more with Lansinoh and they stick to my nipples. (If you end up liking Lansinoh though check out your Target. My store is carrying the Up and Up (store brand) version of the Lansinoh for a lot cheaper. They worked the same for me.)

  • I found that the Medela made my nips itchy. J&J are OK, but they have a built in nipple shape which I find weird. Like I want ppl to see them. I usually use cloth ones during the day and night. They're comfortable, but show a big circle through my tanks. I use the Lasinoh ones if I'm going out. They have adhesive on two spots so they bunch less.

  • I like the JandJ ones the best and am using them for now.  I just squish down the nipple shape before I put them on. :)  They are the cheapest also.  I think next time I will make my own or order some on Etsy so I can wash them!

  • I liked ones that were not individually wrapped, because I hated having the wrappers from my used ones in my diaper bag when I didn't have somewhere to throw them away!

  • I like the medela ones. The J&J's seem to stick to my nipples once the milk dries. It's not a pretty sight to have to peel them off.

  • I like the Ameda No Show Premium Pads.  They are the nicest feeling disposables I've found.
