Parenting after a Loss

What a difference a year makes

One year ago today I got my first BFP... only to be told a week and a half later that I was having an early m/c.  We waited the one cycle the doctor recommended and we were surpised to have another BFP at the end of January.  The end of last year was definitely a low point for me.  I am so glad that this year is ending on a much better note.  I am so thankful for my lovely daughter Anika.

  • Amazing isn't it? So glad you are having a better year.

I could have written this exact post.  I got my 1st BFP Oct 20 only to find out 10 later I was having an early m/c too.  I found out I was pg again with Ethan on 12/11.  He turned 3 months old on the 1 yr anniversary of my m/c and on our 3 yr wedding anniversary- like you said, what a difference a year makes.

    :)

  • I totally agree.  With my first pregnancy, I got my BFP on July 6 and had a d&c on Aug. 3.  I got pregnant again that November and was given a due date of Aug. 3.  I ended up having my little girl on July 12 but when August 3rd rolled around, I couldn't help but marvel at how things had changed.
