Home Security Systems

I replied to a post (mother hen) and copied and pasted this. I thought all of you should know that this stuff is happening and be extra careful of what's going on. Thank GOD everyone is ok...not everyone is that lucky! 

We had a guy (with a badge and everything) come to our door last week and tell us that any security systems that are linked with the phone wires are being damaged by disconnecting the cords leading to the houses so that when they want to burglarize your house, they know the security system will not respond because it's not hooked up. It totally made sense. He never pushed to come in or anything, he just wanted us to call our security company and request for them to fix the problem. I guess their fix is to make it all wireless. So, call your home security company so they can fix it. They are aware of this problem!!! We didn't tell him whether or not ours was hooked up to a wireless system or through our phone system because, even though he had a badge, I still didn't trust him to tell him. What if he was a burglar seeing who had a system that would work and who didn't? Anyways, I hope this helps everyone on this board. Trust your instincts.
