Right?! Omg, these are horrible. Not to mention the fact that her fridge is filthy and filled with gross food. And that last pic? Just no.

So, did she buy all of that junk food just for the pictures, or did she already have that? Because, as much as I love junk food, that is a lot.

Ok, so I've been lurking on these boards for about 3 months, but this was enough to bring me out of the woodwork!!! I don't think I've laughed this much at a thread. Thank you bumpies... I'm sitting at my desk, with tears from laughing so hard! Sometimes I wonder what people are thinking when they do stuff like this.
Did she get these proofs back and say to herself "damn, these are FANTASTIC! They just scream artistic and classy, with a hint of whimsy"???
She said that her MIL was NOT a photographer in a later post (thankfully).
I don't think the fridge picture is that bad. I think it's kinda cute in an ironic kinda way and would be better without the chip crumbs and dirty fridge. The picture with her husband however is worse in my opinion! I don't understand why people have to be shirtless in maternity pictures! That was for the conception people, nobody needs to be reminded of that!

Clearly MIL is an aspiring photographer (hopefully she doesn't do this professionally.... not sure who would hire her?) and was just taking some fun/silly photos. Doesn't seem like the OP is taking them too seriously.
We took a pretty ridiculous "awkward family photo" worthy pic for our christmas card lastyear. But we KNEW it was awkward... we have strange senses of humor I guess. IMO that makes all the difference. It's the people who think they are actually making great photography that you just have to say "oh bless your heart".
