Bowel Movements (TMI warming) - glad I asked Dr...

So, I posted here the other day that I have had loose stools and a little diarrhea with very frequent bowel movements (4-5 times a day) since last Wednesday (TMI).

Sorry to throw this back out, but I wanted to give an update from my routine OB visit today, just in case some of you are having similar symptoms.

He is running some test to rule out thyroid issues (which he very, highly doubts) and mainly GI issues (bugs, virus, etc.).  He has me taking an Imodium once a day between now and when they check me out again Tuesday.  I'll keep you all posted.

It's probably nothing, but it's one of those "rather safe then sorry", just so I know all is good.  OB said he's glad we are checking it out, just to make sure all is well too.

  • You sound like you are describing my BMs. Lately they have been very frequent and not very solid (TMI). I just figure it's due to not having as much room in there. I don't feel sick so for me it's probably nothing. It won't hurt to mention it at my next OB appt though.

I hope yours is nothing too!

  • Several weeks ago I had to go to the hospital after a minor car accident, and I saw on the discharge paperwork it said to call your doctor if you have stomach cramps with or without diarrhea... I did have one bout of severe cramping with diarrhea, but after I had gone to the bathroom, everything was fine, so I didn't even think to call the doctor (and I didn't read that on the discharge paperwork until afterward). I asked my doctor about it at my next visit though and she said that sometimes loose stools can be a sign of early labor. All that to say if it's happening frequently, you might give your Dr. a call, especially if you are having pain/cramping as well.

I don't feel sick at all, that's the thing!  I'd just bring it up too if I were you. You have the exact stuff I have...
