Anyone else feel "normal"

So yesterday and today I have felt pretty normal. Now I am starting to panic. My doctors office doesn't open until 9am. I will be 10 weeks on Saturday.

Anyone else feel "normal" and still have a healthy LO in their belly?

Re: Anyone else feel "normal"

  • I had a few days earlier this week I felt almost normal -- but then yesterday the standard fatigue came back like a tidal wave and I had to leave work early -- I just couldn't even function :/

Back at work today -- and just strugglin' through as per usual...

  • I started feeling normal over the weekend, and I'm with you...scared.  I was 10w3d on the weekend.  I have an appt. today at 11w1d, and I'm just praying that things are still moving along and the symptoms have cleared up because I'm nearing the end of 1st tri.

Everything I read does say that HCG levels peak between 9-11 weeks or so, so it does make sense but still scares me at the same time.

ETA: I had an appt. last week at 9w6d, and everything was fine.

  • I am right there with you girls. Things have been tapering down, and I am 10w 4ds. It freaks me out but I have to trust that symptoms are coming to a natural end. My next appointment isnt until July 13th.

I have also had a day or two before that I have felt great, just to get the queaziness back even stronger the next day.

  • My whole weekend I felt great and that scared the poo out of me. I had an appointment monday to meet with my OB and he seemed to think everything was fine. I have an ultrasound this afternoon just to ease my mind but Monday my symptoms came rushing back so I am sure everything is fine :D

  • I'm not as far along as most of the people on this post but my experience up to this point as been that I'll have symptoms for a few days, they'll go away for a few days, then they'll come back, etc. etc. I just had an u/s on Monday & everything looked good. Still, I'm right there with you on how it can still be worrying, even though it's totally normal for symptoms to come & go.

    Dear Baby Pacheco...
  • I go in and out of feeling 'normal.' Every time I feel normal I panic and make myself crazy with worry. And then I go into zombie fatigue and bloated stage and I wish I was feeling 'normal' again. It is a crazy ride!

  • I totally understand. I'm 10w4d and feeling pretty "normal." It's nice!! Everything is still on track and baby is doing great! I'm thinking this is par for the course this time of the pregnancy! Knock on wood :)

  • This is pregnancy number 7 (4 m/c's) and Ive never had any "symptoms" of being pregnant aside from being a bit tired. Ive had 2 healthy babies and this one is doing great so far! Try not to stress!! Count yourself as one of the lucky few!

  • I've felt fairly normal throughout! Very few symptoms even without them we saw a HB at 8 weeks & I have an appointment tomorrow because I'm not in town all next week for 12 week checkup. I'm sure hoping everything looks great! I don't think my sister had a lot of symptoms either so I'm hoping it just runs in my family!
  • Yep. I was thinking this morning on my way to the appt, ok....where are my symptoms?

  • Ever since about 9 1/2 weeks I've been feeling pretty normal, but sometimes a symptom will jump up and inform me I'm pregnant again. I'm wondering if I'm just getting used to the symptoms, like fatigue and sore breasts. I mean, I slept 12 hours today but am feeling normal. Sleeping 12 hours is totally out of the norm for me, but hasn't been for over a month now. :) I'm not going to lie, I am looking forward to my next appointment for reassurance. :)

  • For the last three days I have felt a whole lot better so I have also been a bit nervous. I wouldn't say I feel normal but not the I can't even move off the couch or I will barf feeling either. I have a doctor's appointment later today so I hope it eases my mind as well.
  • I felt normal yesterday and the day before, today my nausea is back in full force. It's normal for symptoms to come and go, especially as we get closer to the 12 week mark when they should (fingers crossed!) start to fade.

My advice is just to enjoy feeling normal, yesterday I got a lot of shopping done and was productive enough to make up for how little I'm going to accomplish today!

If you're really worried, calling your OB for reassurance can't ever hurt. Smile

  • I'm about to enter week 10 and today I actually feel normal! My boobs are still sore but I haven't had any nausea for the last 2 days (knock on wood); I believe I'm just finally starting to get back to normal and my body is finally adjusting to the hormones!!

  • I have felt completely normal for the last (close to) 3 weeks! I'm 10w1d along and every day i'm freaked out that something isnt right. I have been going to an RE, so I have weekly ultrasounds and each week everything looks and sounds GREAT!

I just keep telling myself as long as I have no worrying symptoms, no symptoms at all is OK!

  • I have felt normal for almost all of my pregnancy. I am just really hungry all the time and about two weeks ago I was tired a lot more.

I am not going to worry about things until I have to.

Ditto!! I'm either 8w4d or 9w1d depending on who you ask. Lol LO measured 7w1d at our US but they are keeping me at our original due date of Jan 16 which would be 9w1d. And today, so far, normal! Besides a blasted headache last night, I got nothin!

I am 10w 4d and these past few days I have been feeling pretty normal too, and it scares the crap out of me!  My boobs are a bit sore and i still have to pee every 5 mins, but other than that, I feel A-ok... It is funny wishing for symptoms, for reassurance.  I have an appointment next week and I think I will feel a lot better once I get that thumbs up from the doctor.

  • I have felt "normal" pretty much my entire pregnancy so far.  I've had zero morning sickness, very little fatigue, no major food aversions.  I pee a lot due to drinking so much and my boobs are still killing me, but that's it.  I had an emergency u/s on Tuesday night (long story) and baby Stu is doing perfect... just dancing away!

  • Thank you everyone for your responses. I'm a FTM and hearing from you all makes me feel so much better. On another note, I also called my doctor and talked to two different people there, the receptionist and the Nurse Practicioner (spelling?) and they nicely laughed at me because I told them I wanted my symptoms back. lol They also told me that it was completely normal to feel normal. Most women's hormones are getting into check between the 9-11 weeks. I of course am still slightly worried, but not in an absolute panic like I was this morning. I have a feeling this worried feeling will never go away completely, even once they are born. Heck they will be 16 years old and I will probably have some sense of worry.

     Thanks again everyone!

  • My only symptoms to date have been sore boobs, no energy, and cramping whenever i coughed/sneezed/got up too fast. I was freaking out off and on because my sister-in-law told me she knew when she miscarried last year because her symptoms went away and she started cramping. My cousin was actually going through her miscarriage the week of our wedding. So those were pretty fresh in my head.

But it turns out I'm just one of those super lucky girls who didn't get sick during the first trimester (still have a bit of time left though so who knows!) Everything was great at our first appt/sono. *phew*
