Just wondering who the bumpie was that was seeing spots? I know Phillygal was but someone else did last week and I was wondering how it turned out and what the doctor had to say? Did you have to have someone drive you to the doctor or did you drive yourself?
I came into work this morning and everything was normal. Then about 45 minutes into my work day I couldn't read my computer screen or anything for that matter. Bright spots were everywhere and I was getting dizzy trying to focus on things. This lasted for about 2 hours and now the spots are a lot less apparent but I'm still dizzy and I have a headache.
I called and talked to a nurse at my clinic and they said everything looked good yesterday when I went in for my regular appt but that she would ask the doctor. My blood pressure was a little bit higher but I have low blood pressure to begin with.
Well she called me back and left a voicemail saying that I should have someone drive me to their office so they can check my BP again and take another urine sample because mine were so high yesterday....wtf? I thought they were normal. My BP was 122/70 and it's normally 120ish/60ish.
The thing is, the spots are only partially there now and I just have a headache (the nurse doesn't know this yet) so what if I just have a migraine or something? I have had a headache maybe 1 in the last 5 years. I just feel dumb going in if it's nothing. I think I'll call the nurse back right now and tell her the spots are going away.
Re: Who was the bumpie that was seeing spots?
Thanks, I just feel dumb because I went in around 24 weeks thinking I was leaking amniotic fluid and it turned out that I was peeing myself. I just don't want to be known as the FTM who cried wolf at my clinic.
ETA: But my baby girl is worth way more than me feeling dumb....calling right now to schedule!
Thanks for the reassurance everyone! I have an appt for 2 today. I did talk to the nurse and she said it's actually worse that I've developed a headache even if the spots are barely there now.
I'll keep everyone updated. I'm sure it's nothing.

Hope its nothing and everything is ok!
I've been seeing spots a lot lately too. What do these spots look like? Cause mine are like little white sparkles or lights.

That is what mine look like . . . kind of like soap bubbles but a ton of them.
I just looked it up and found possibly a drop in BP or sugar. Someone described it as floating glitter or sparkles. Which is what I see from time to time. It happened last time I was pregnant too.

Hope everything is okay! I've had a few ocular migranes, they are really scary but "normal". Hope it's something benign like that!
I haven't experienced any like that, I hope that it is nothing and maybe just related to your BP.
Yeah its definitely not a cloud or anything that affects my view. So I guess that's good. I'm thinking its the temporary drop in BP probably. My BP is always on the low side normally. Normal for me is 95/65. I know that pregnancy increases your BP and I've been getting the same reading as always, so that may be the reason for my sparkle spots. My BP is low for pregnancy....? Anyway, sorry to make this about myself, I was just curious. I'm gonna talk to my OB about it tomorrow at my appt.

I was the other bumpie seeing spots over the weekend. My DF drove me to the hospital, as I definitely wouldn't have driven myself. My BP wasn't dangerously high when I went to L&D to get it checked out, but it made me feel a lot better to have it seen about.
Like I said before, when I talked to my regular doctor about the spots (which I would have described mine as tiny gnat-looking dots that crawled around in front of my eyes and kinda sparkled), he said it could have something to do with pregnancy blood flow increase since I was turning my head to look behind me when they first were seen. I guess the blood rushed behind my eyes or something? I dunno. He told me not to be too concerned unless I got a headache with them.
