.....so, you know this old wives tale about high heart rates being girls and low ones being boys. the cut off i've heard most often is 140; higher, it's a girl; lower, it's a boy.
we're team green and i'm curious to know what you folks who know the gender are experiencing.
do you know if it's a girl or a boy and what is your typical fetal HR at your appts?
our baby's HR would indicate a boy based on this.

SCANDAL!
DS was always between 165-170 which according to OWT is a girl.
We are team green again and this LO is between 140-145.
150, boy.
Wait, does Team Sneaky really mean that you know the gender but refuse to disclose it to strangers on the Internet? I may need a minute to prevent my eyes from actually rolling out of my head on that one. And I thought gender reveal parties were over the top assuming everyone is deeply involved in your kids genitals. That's a new level of AW.
Proud Mama to cleft cutie
With the exception if the first ultrasound at 8w (it was 155) it's always been 145-150.. And it's a boy.
My boy's hr is usually right around 140
Our little girl is about 140

That's exactly what it means and you can relax your eyeballs. I am Team Sneaky because my IRL BFF lurks these boards, and we aren't telling anyone IRL. You know what they say about assuming.
Yes, Kaya, you made your stance on Team Sneaky perfectly clear last week. Like kel, we have at least 3 IRL friends who are Bumpies. One of them knew about my BFP before we had announced to anyone outside of our immediate families because of The Nest. So yes, I am keeping it private on the internet as well. Since you truly don't care, I don't see why you would give a hoot whether I disclose it in this post or not. I answered the question effectively anyway: the OWT was not predictive because the HR was always on the borderline. What do you care?

ha. better check again. those old wives are never wrong
oh man, this is the first i'm hearing about peeing on baking soda. now i'm going to have to restrain myself from doing that.
i had no idea being team sneaky was so serious as to warrant taking a stance. sheesh.
I didn't either, but she flamed me and others for it last week, too, so it irked me to see the same complaint again, especially when I patiently explained last time that a big part of our reason for doing it is because some very, very important people in our lives really wanted to be surprised. Not to AW about anything. Sheesh.

i gathered as much, AW.
First U/S - 138
Most after or from doppler - around 145
Last doppler two weeks ago - 148
I'm having a boy. However, the under/over 140 heart rate thing, I've heard only relates to the first heart rate given in the first trimester. If that's the case, it was right for me!
Early pregnancy (before 16 weeks) it was around 160, now it is consistently around 140. We're definately having a girl and you can't tell I'm pregnant from behind. LOL
This. Who cares what the OP of this response calls her team, it's HER team! Well said C_mo!
After first trimester it's been in the 150's and sometimes in the high 140's (8 weeks it was 175). It's a girl.
With DS it was consistently in the upper 140's.
