Cost to mail package to PSC address in Japan

So my BFF lives in Japan and can send things to me at a postage rate similar to sending things within the states.

I looked online (at USPS) and to send her a package would cost over 50 dollarsIndifferent.

Does anyone know if I send her a package to a PSC address if they will charge me less? Thank you

    There are flat rate boxes at the post office specifically for Military. I think the cost is around $10, just go to your local post office and ask them about it. Also if it's an FPO/APO address it isn't considered overseas...it is sent through the Military postal service.

    I used the flat rate boxes a lot when DH was in Japan otherwise its outrageous

    go to your local post office. the large flat rate boxes are $13.45 shipped! be sure to ask for the customs forms and address sticker!

    I also agree with the flat rate boxes, and since his address is a FPO/APO address you should able to get $2 or $3 (I don't remember the exact amount) off the flat rate price.  It's somewhere on the USPS site, unless they have changed it recently.

    Hello. I am in Japan now. The other ladies are right. Make sure you get a flat rate box I think it like $10..also for the country, do NOT put Japan....if you do, it gets delayed like no other because it gets sent to Japans postal system. You do have to fill out a customs form when your bring your box to the desk to get sent out. I keep a few of those so I can fill them out before I get to the post office.

    The last time I sent a USPS Military flat rate box was in March to my husband who was in Afghanistan at the time.  At that time the USPS Military flat rate box was $13.95.
