What is this splash pad you speak of? And yes, I am sure there is stoopid going on somewhere.

a splash pad is like oodles of fountains, sprinklers, water cannons, and troughs with 0 depth and a soft ground.
Yeah Charlotte would not do well with this, it would be ugly. She HATES with a undying passion any water that may or may not get poured or sprinkled on her head. It makes baths AWESOME. Water table is more her style, puddles, pools cool; but moving water is apparently the debil.
I think I need a splash pad now that I know such a thing exists. Whenever I use the hose to water the flowers, my kid stands directly in front of it, laughing like a fool. She would do it every day if I let her. I'm waiting for her to try to start drinking the spray, kind of like a dog. . . . .
My husband let the baby leave a cup downstairs. It was half full of milk. It was there for 5 days.
Stupid abounds in this world. And if I weren't such a stupid tree hugging hippy, I would've put the whole thing in the trash where it belonged. But no, I had to wash it.
Six times.
ALSO, I'm pretty sure a spider fell out of my cereal box this morning, narrowly missing my bowl. But I pretended it came from the sky so it wouldn't ruin my Kashi.
I can't believe all of you that have never heard of or experienced a splash pad!! They are awesome. DD1 wasn't a huge fan last year, but this year it's been so fun. She runs around like crazy and always takes an awesome nap afterwards. Find one asap!
Ditto, we have them all over. Outdoor malls, parks, etc..
The newest one they opened by my house is awesome.

We prefer, its a lot more expensive per day, but the season passes actually last all season instead of just half, and its a lot bigger, and I dont have to fight to find a place to put our stuff, and its not full of elementary age kids who have been dropped off for the entire day with no parental supervision because there isnt jack crap for teens and adults to do. Plus, unlike hurricane harbor (6 flags), no parking fees, bring your own food if you want, and you can leave your stuff where you are sitting and its okay, regardless of whether you have a picnic table, lounge chairs, or a blanket spread on the grass. Their big kids area is twice the size of the splash, and their toddler area is decent, there is sand, beach volleyball, a pool, lazy river, wave pool, multiple grill/food stands, ice cream, baby area, and a little creek with fountains with grassy knolls all around with lots of trees for shade. We already made up the cost of the season passes for H and I by going five times so far.

I got so excited when I saw this, but, as usual, it doesn't have anything for the South Jersey folk.
Oh, well.
I did find a splash pad right down the road from me, but it's not free. Boo.
where in south Jersey is it and how much? I know its raining today
Johnson's Farm in Medford apparently has one, but I can't find the pricing for it. Nothing is free there though... https://www.johnsonsfarm.com/
Also, The Funplex in Mt. Laurel had more of a water playground/mini-waterpark thing. I haven't been since the year before last so I don't know the prices. funplexmountlaurel.com

IDK where in NJ you gals are looking for but there's one in Passaic/Passaic Park too. It's little, but it's there. However it's not on the list I just linked.

I just bought this same one at Walmart last week for $10, they seem to like it!
Our local pool has a splash pad that they love so much my H and I looked into putting one into our backyard... they want like $6k, um no. $10 is fine for me.

Unfortunately, by us in NJ we don't have one--and the ones that are semi-close are still about a 30 minute car ride away. Not worth it. They talk about putting one in our town, which I would LOVE. I know Reese would love it, she is SUCH a water baby.
Re: heh heh, my kids are in the splash pad and I am lounging.

This is how N feels about grass. Such a drama queen.

We have this too but I think Heather is talking about something like this: https://www.wickedlocal.com/plymouth/multimedia/videos/x724663420/Nelson-Park-makes-a-big-splash
Hrrm. Maybe I'll take DD to the sprayground today. She's currently protesting naptime.
Loudly.
